Actually I hope that Ash'll withdraw Corphish in his team and that he'll evolve then, I always hoped for Corphish' evolution, but never got it T.T

Don't get your hopes up. Corphish won't evolve simply for the fact that it evolves to a Dark-type and dark-types are "evil".

lol, Corphish was pretty "evil" before Ash caught it so I don't see the problem ;) And Gary's Umbreon wasn't evil as a dark type, wsa he? Neither was the poocheyena that Max befriended and even Darkrai wasn't evil (and he has "dark" in his name) So dark types aren't evil

So, summing up, whether said Pokémon is good or evil depends on the trainer. Or, this is at least a suggestion.

Corphish might only come back if Ash decides to reunite the Hoenn team for something.

I actually wonder if that team will make comebacks the same way the Kanto team does, or if they'll wind up forgotten like the Johto team.

So far Bulbasaur/Squirtle/Charizard were used in every saga for some battles, but it remains to be seen if the Hoenn team will get the same treatment.

The way the writers neglected/ignored the Johto team since 2002 is really something, I sure hope that sad fate doesn't befall any of his other teams.

OK, there are odds that Torkoal(no evolution) may comeback and evolve, so why won't Corphish then? It's a powerhouse and it's the only one in the AG team that isn't fully evolved. (except Pikachu, of course) They may have the motive to make the AG team an almost perfect team. They bring back
Also, Phanpy(previous Gen at AG) in the side saga, so why won't they do the same if they will have a side saga again?

Snowpoint is an ice Gym so it really would be the perfect opportunity to spotlight Monferno.

I guess the most we can hope for now is Chimchar evolving in one of the eps before Snowpoint Gym. If it doesn't evolve by Snowpoint, then lol, Chimchar is screwed. :p

I have to say that I'm becoming concerned that neither Monferno or Staraptor are not going to show.

Ash got Chimchar in "Smells Like Team Spirit!" (DP052). The latest Japanese episode is at DP112. 60 episodes and NO Monferno. I'm starting to think Chimchar won't evolve as if to prove to Paul that it was strong already and it took Ash's love to show that. MAN, I hope I'm wrong because I've been waiting for Monferno forever now and I would be happy if it just evolves at this point.

The same goes for Staraptor. I'll be happy if just shows up at all now. I thought Hoenn prove that the Pokémon Producers aren't anti-evolution, but Sinnoh seems to be going back to their old ways again (Sigh).
