The Three Pyramids Academy (Start-Up)

Gaius got up and followed Ame.

OOC: What happened?

Ooc: I'm wearing jeans and adriana showered :p

Ic: Rex took a seat next to Adriana, and tried to regain his breath with a grin

OOC: We're in the next day, and about to go to lessons

Thalia ran over to the classroom.

Upon reaching the classroom, Ame went to a seat in the front and slumped down.

Rex stood next to Adriana In line outside of class. "You ready? "

Adriana finished her breakfast quickly then went with Rex to the classroom. "Yeah, I'm ready!" she smiled energetically, walking into the room. She took a seat next to Ame in the front.

Gaius sat down next to Adriana. In front of them stood a Magister, in his flowing robe.

"Good morning, as you well know, this is your first class in the Academy. You have come here because you are talented, more so than most of the world. In this class you will study the magic that you will perform once you become magicians, of whatever caste," he began. "There are 5 elements, Ignis, Ventus, Terra, Aqua and Energy. Some people are stronger than others at these elements. None of you are the same strength either, and you have all been basically graded, having come to the Academy. Today I am going to teach you how to channel, the basic of all magic use. The first thing that you need to do is calm yourself, slow down your heartbeat." Gaius took in deep breaths, trying to collect himself. "then focus on the inner recess of your mind, you can feel power there, but you can't reach it." The Magister was right, Gaius could feel the nagging pulse of power, just out of his grasp. "Now, jump off the edge, embrace the power, but come back from the abyss quickly." As the Magister said this Gaius could see small ripples of magic escaping the Magister. He was forming a shield, just in case anything went wrong. Gaius did as instructed, and he felt a surge of energy running through his veins. As instructed he withdrew, and the flow ebbed away.

Rex looked puzzled, but did his best.. he reached out and touched his power, but didn't recede straight away as instructed. Instead he could feel a burning sensation in the back of his eyes, and the bookcase at the front of the class burst into flames. "F@#k" he hissed!

[AlphaMouse]

Deep blue magic flowed around the Magister and water sprayed over the bookcase, putting the flames out.

[Reece]

Rex sat there as everyone stared at him, but the teacher simply smiled and mouthed the word "practice".

Adriana took in deep breaths in and out, trying her hardest to calm herself down just as the Magister had instructed. She felt her nervousness ebb away, replaced by a surge of power as she grasped the pulses of magic within her. Energy flowed into her body - she could feel the sheer force of rippling liquid. All was going well until Rex set a book on fire. At the sight of this, Adriana became frantic, losing control of the magic. Water had almost started to flood the room but she had found a way to jump away "from the abyss," just as the instructor had said, in the nick of time to stop the flow.

The students stopped channeling and the Magister nodded.

"Good, most of you. Now, I'm going to teach you some how to channel each of the four elements."

Suddenly, the desk in front of Ame shattered. "Uh...oops?"
