okay, i think that the Japanese name for white is official which is: Touko.......... but in the manga,I saw that it stayed as White(well,duh!) What could her English name be??? hmm.............
Apparently, it's Hilda.
The game/manga characters are different... Like in the manga they have Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal,... it goes on. I don't like their choice of English names (I have the same opinion of the Pokemon) so I'm sticking with Touko/White.
