theres a ton of articles on various sites and forums about who people are expecting and wanting in the next Smash. might as well do it here. however, im going to add a slight twist and add why i DONT think some characters belong in Smash. i encourage people to do the same.
first, who i DO think should be in it:
Ridley - ive never played a Metroid game, but i like when character's get their rival included in the game and i thik more characters should. i feel it balances out. it also helps expand the gaming universe. Ridly poses a challenge though given he is quite large. might have to be shrunk.
Little Mac - he's a fighter. he's Nintendo. Ice Climbers get in, but he doesnt? bull. fighters fight.
Bayonetta - this might seem odd, but Nintendo now owns the rights to the franchise, and aside from the fact shes pretty hot, shes a unique physical fighter with a ton of moves that would easily fit in Brawl. also, she has guns in her high heels.
characters that SHOULDNT be in Brawl:
Waluigi - he hasnt done anything particularly notable to deserve a spot. he just shows up for party games. i think being an assist trophy is right where he belongs.
Krystal (Star Fox) - again, hasnt really done anything particularly notable. she could bring a decent fighting style to the table but is otherwise no more important than any other Star Fox team member (aside from Falco).
Zoroark - its the poster child of Gen V, but Gen V is already well seasoned. Zoroark's time in the spotlight has passed, and thats fine as its not a particularly great Pokemon. dont get me wrong, its good in the games, but its sort of ho-hum in the grand scheme.
Whoa, I didnt know there was a place for this, so I did my idea in my blog. Heres how it goes:
"Unova trainer/BW trainer
Conceptually like the normal PKMN trainer, but with different Pokemon (Snivy, Dewott, and Emboar). Normal Special:
Coil: Wraps itself up, then lunges at the foes. Distance and power increase by charging.
BubbleBeam: Launches low power, low knockback, but wide range bubbles for a short time.
Focus Blast: similar to Aura Sphere, but less damage and charge. Up Special:
Quick Attack: Bread and Butter recovery move.
Aqua Jet: slower, more powerful recovery.
Heat Wave: Sends out a wave of hot wind from his body in all directions. Side Special:
Slam: smashes into the foe.
Razor Shell: runs and slashes foes with its salchops.
Flame Charge: Runs at foes until interrupted. Gets faster with time. Down Special
Change to Dewott
Change to Emboar
Change to Snivy Final Smash:
Emboar, Dewott, and Snivy use Fire Pledge, Water Pledge, and Grass Pledge to release a damaging rainbow, burning leaves and swampland."
i think you might be overthinking it a little.
Maybe. But that's just how I am. Also, I posted another idea on my blog. Too lazy to copy/paste.
I agree that Zoroark should not be in Smash Bros. If they do for some reason use a gen 5 Pokemon, I would really prefer Genesect to Zoroark. I think it learns a more interesting variety of moves that would translate well to a Smash Bros game.
I think that a new character from Kid Icarus is almost guaranteed. I know most people want either Magnus, Palutena, or Medusa. Honestly I don't really see Palutena getting in since she's so involved in Pit's powers already. Medusa would bring a new villain and a new female character to the game, and Magnus would bring an interesting playing style with his GIANT club.
One character that's unlikely that I really want to see is Toad from Mario. I know he's already in one of Peach's moves, but I love the little guy and he's been a playable character in several Mario games.
I think that Ghirahim is very likely, and he's mainly who I wanna see. Aside from that, Ridley, N, Bowser Jr., and Shulk would be lovely.
who is "Shulk"
The main character of Xenoblade Chronicles, aka the best game ever srsly.
thats a Nintendo franchise?
Apparently Xenoblade counts as a Nintendo game, according to many sources.
