I love that video! Link to the Future is awesome, and we now know that the zelda timeline is 1.21 milleniums long! JK! xD
So what do you guys think of the official timeline presented in Hyrule Historia?
For those who don't know, here's how it looks:
Then it splits, not two, but three ways.
Downfall Timeline (Hero of Time is defeated): ALttP-OoS-OoA-LA—>LoZ-AoL
Child Timeline (Link forewarns Zelda): MM—>TP—>FSA
Adult Timeline (Hero of Time is victorious): WW-PH—>ST
I think it makes sense. It does sort of feel like the Downfall timeline was shoehorned in, but it makes sense.
Oh yes. This thread is outdated now.
I am fine with the official timeline.
I prefer to think there is no actual timeline(if that makes sense), but this is kind of makes sense. But I'm confused about where Wind Waker stands. I mean, I thought it would be one of the oldest ones in the timeline but it isn't. I kind of get it, but I also don't. The water is what confuses me about it. It's so high up in Wind Waker, but I thought that would make more sense if it was set in one of the older spots in the timeline.
Wind Waker resulted when the land of Hyrule got flooded by the goddesses after Zelda sent Link back in time at the end of Ocarina of Time.
Oh. Okay. But how far off is Spirit Tracks from Wind Waker? Because all of that water is gone and Niko(is that how I spell his name) is still there, but older of course. I guess I'm just confused on how much time passes.
Spirit Tracks takes place a few hundred years after WW and PH. When the New Hyrule was discovered. The Niko in that game is a descendant of the WW one.

Tetra is ST Zelda's grandmother, and I believe Anjean mentioned it being only about a century since Link and Tetra's Pirate Crew found New Hyrule. And Niko claims that ST Link reminds him of someone he met when he was younger early in the game.
Alfonzo, though, is heavily implied to be a descendant of Gondo.
Well... I haven't played the game, so I will call you right on this one.
