not really a fan of a gimmick idea, but ill reserve that judgment until i play it.
i hope and pray we dont control Link with the touchscreen.
i really hope it isnt actually going to be called "ALttP 2"

Putting aside the fact that I wanted MM3D (and that ALttP is far from one of my favorite Zelda games), I'm really not liking the first look at the game. After seeing what the 3DS is capable of in OoT3D, reverting to such cartoonish graphics just seems very off - and it's not like ALttP's designs were particularly cartoonish, they'd be around the same par as OoT's. As for the wall thing, it looks kinda cool but I certainly hope there's some reason for its mechanic rather than just being there for the sake of being there. On the whole I'm less than pleased with what we've got so far, but hopefully my opinion will change as we get more info/when I play it.

Don't worry, videos of the press demos show the game controlled with regular button controls.

    oh, thats good.
but i also agree on both the want for MM3D, and that the cartoony graphics dont make sense.
if this is supposed to be like ALttP, then its failing already by not looking even remotely like ALttP.

I think it looks kind of fun. I do like the top down Zelda games.

I had hoped for a game more along the lines of Ocarina of Time 3D (or main console games in general) control/graphics-wise, since I thought they did well with taking it onto the 3DS, but I'll reserve my judgment until I actually play it.

Don't forget, they are also remastering Wind Waker for the Wii U and making a totally new game for that console.

I like the way this looks. It's the same treatment they gave NSMB in comparison to the original Mario sidescrollers.

I'm very excited for this game, actually. I like the old top down zelda games quite a bit more than the other ones, and i'm glad to see theyve returned to that for a change.
