Please, it IS Canon. May left Ash and Brock to go travel with Drew Harley and that other dude. They're a road couple. Plus any couple with solid hints are canon. Unless they're like poor Pokeshipping wheere Ash is off travelling with Iris(in japan)/Dawn(every where else) and Misty is off being a loner in her gym.
It's the most canon pairing in pokemon, minus the ones that are already mentioned, like May's parents. BUT IT'S STILL NOT CANON! *breaks down in dramatic despair*
IMO, Contestshipping is already canon, at least off stage. who knows. They are probably together right now only we can't see it. I mean c'mon! It's obvious they like each other with all the roses and blushing ^_^
Haha, I'm stuck between CONTEST and ADVANCE as well, but I lean more on Contest since my first Ship ever was Poke Shipping... Well their in Jhoto, and those damn Anime producers won't give us even a slight hint on whatever it is they're doing there...! Must be quite interesting seeing as Drew's eyes couldn't pry themselves off the television when he was watching May perform in the Wallace Cup >:]
Yeah, I think it's canon, too. It's been well implied that they like each other. While in Pokeshipping, most hints tell us it's only one-sided (Misty liking Ash).
