To the [Baptist Church],
At this time, the phrase "An injury to one is an injury to all," has never proven more true. Recently, someone decided that they should write inappropriate and crude lyrics from a song onto the prayer request list within the church. The entirety of [our school] is burdened with the sorrow that this wanton act has brought and we wish to extend our most sincere apologies to the [Baptist Church] staff and congregation.
As a student at [our school], I have an insurmountable faith in the potential of every single student here. I believe that [our school] is here to awaken that potential, and that every student has the chance to contribute and immeasurable amount of good, both to the community and to the world that they go on to live in. For this reason, it deeply saddens me to see this abhorrent display. [Our school] places great emphasis on respect, as such we are expected to carry the responsibility to lead the example of proper interplay.
Because of this, I find myself downtrodden at this disrespectful act. I must stress that all of us are tremendously affected by even the smallest action committed by the [school] community, so we all bear the duty to be the best we can ever possibly be. The [church] plays an integral part within the [school] student life, and we are all very grateful that it is offered to us every week and it should be treated with the same amount of respect as any other institution that we may go to, regardless if they're related to [our school] or not.
I am truly, personally sorry that this incident has happened and I can only hope that you--the people personally affected by this--can forgive this double-sided affront, both to the people of your church and to the very values that [our school] seeks to champion, and I wish you can share the same unrequited home towards the good that so many of us desire to achieve.
