For me, as cool as some of the ideas were, it was just so... Needless. We already had Fusion Summons, after all. XYZ-Dragon Cannon looked cool, at least.
(And, none taken. I asked the question. XD)
That point only works for Synchro and Xyz monsters!
The point you use for hating Unions is that they make monsters slightly harder to destroy.
No, I dislike Unions because, as I said, that is when the game began becoming needlessly over-complicated (to me).
It seemed after a while, they were just adding new terms rather than simply electing to create more original Monster/Spell/Trap effects.
There were four main types of monsters back then (Normal, Effect, Ritual, and Fusion). Union was just a sub-type.
I know. It's when they started adding sub-types that it went downhill for me.
What I don't get is why they had to add sub-types - the only real advantage I see would be for support cards (and even then, mostly for Unions and Spirits). The only sub-type I fully get is Tuner, since it isn't an effect.
They could've just saved card space by removing all shared effect text. That would've given the actual sub-types more justice.
F**KING SANGAN! DIE ALREADY! YOU AND WITCH OF THE BLACK FOREST!
...I just hate the Hawkins family deck in the anime...
Ah, Sangan ain't as bad as the guys who actually summon...
like Pyramid Turtle. So many zombies (or a good chunk of 'em) have less than 1500 DEF.
I don't like Numbers. They're just pure evil and a pain to destroy. They also creep me out.
