Pink Floyd. They were the only band that I listened to for a long time. I have never been as obsessed with any other band.

Would album obsessions be included as part of this discussion? If so, I've had so many of those over the past year. :I But anyway, there's been a few bands I've been obsessed with over the years. Record is Red Hot Chili Peppers, they were my favorite all the way up until summer of 2010, when I found Rise Against. From there I've also been obsessed with Green Day, Pink Floyd, and Radiohead.
Any sort of obsession, for example I am completely and utterly obsessed with Echospace's album Liumin. If that album was the only music I could hear for the rest of my life, I could live with that.
I've been struck with an album obsession over Gillan's Double Trouble and Magic.
I'm going through a Baroness obsession at the moment. They started as another addition to the grey area I've seen develop between sludge/stoner metal and progressive metal (Mastodon, High on Fire, etc.), but over the years they've developed into a flavor of music that's in this grey area and also straddles the line between rock and metal. At times they're extremely heavy, but at all times they're always beautiful.
