Im sure many of us here have purchased music, so what are you guys first albums?
I remember years back buying Muse's Black Holes and Revalations, a Dio best of and Mastodon's Blood Mountain. None of them are albums I really listen to anymore, it still started my love for buying music.
The first mp3 I bought was Azealia Banks 212, if only to support a rising star. Love that song.
You need to crack open all three of those CDs sometime, man
My mom played her CDs in the car on the way to drop off my brother and I at elementary school back when we lived further south of where we are now. I remember being especially partial to Coldplay's Parachutes (which I've now bought a different copy of myself), Audioslave's self-titled debut album, and The Black Eyed Peas' Elephunk. The first CDs I ever bought with my own money (more specifically, money out of my mom's pocket that she owed me) were Parachutes, Mastodon's The Hunter, Sigur Ros's Valtari, and Rage Against the Machine's The Battle of Los Angeles all at the same time earlier this year. So I guess this is the start of a long life of buying CDs. :B
I got my iPod as a Christmas present in 2010, when I was thirteen (and still Christian). I don't remember the very first song I ever downloaded, but I did get a butt-load of Coldplay (one of the first bands I ever became a "fan" of).
First album I ever listened to was Led Zeppelin's fourth album, but that was out of my dad's personal collection. Great album.
The first I ever actually bought myself was a Billy Joel hits collection I found at Target on vacation. I'd heard Piano Man on the radio earlier that day, so I was interested, and I ended up loving absolutely every Billy Joel song I ever heard after that.
I'm too into techno and jazz to go back to alt rock :P
You remind me of myself, you like a lot of the bands that I liked when I was 15/16. So in a couple years time you'll be obsessed with cv313 haha.
Also Jack and Capz, feel free to make any threads you want.
I think I have a decent idea for a thread, but I can't figure out how to make one. I think the creation of group discussions might be limited to Fabby. e_e
Lol, chances are I've left it on. I'll try sort it.
No idea what the first album I heard was. Other than that I think the first I owned was a Hilary Duff CD.
Hillary Duff? That makes me feel so old haha. I think the first song I distinctly remember liking was OutKast's Hey Ya. Still a great song.
The first song I ever remember hearing is TNT by AC/DC. I pretty much listened to only classic rock or hard rock for years.
Gee, the first song I remember hearing... probably "Yellow Submarine" by The Beatles. x3
