I reckon that for the manga hardcores, It'll be a nice two year compensation for 300 episodes of Z plus better animation.

I really enjoy DBK as it is fast paced but keeps all the elements necessary to the dragonball story. Though listening to Goku sounding like a little girl is vexing at times, it really is well done. The only thing that disappointed me was that the series was not completey reanimated. Sure, they did some editing here and there but its pretty much the same animation. Btw, the new opening and closing songs are pretty cool.

I find Masako Nozawa (the Seiyuu of Son Goku) highly appropriate for the role, given how earnest she can get in tone and how her high toned voice compliments the child that always resides upon Goku, in a way that'd keep him in character. But if anyone nails the role of Son Goku best, to me, it's Ian Corlett of the OCEAN dub. He mingles the coarses of Schemmel and the pleasingly youthful tones of Masoka for an awesome blend, in my ears.

But one thing I do think most of Goku's VAs share in is that they all have an admirable way of adding a deep, potent, and fervid range of emotion to his voice.

As for Dragonball Kai, I view it with a glance of desire and delight. love the musical tones added in, the performances the Seiyuus turn in, and the terseness of it by comparison to the original anime (as well as the rectified colorations, said erroneous colorations being a product of TOEI having nothing to work with [hence the filler material] as Toriyama-sensei was working on the next serial). I think it's good, and I take happily to the new opening and closing themes.

It's nice to see Goku & friends again like in the old days and not the whole 4 episodes to hit someone once. I don't really have a problem with Goku's VA, sounds pretty good now to me (I don't think I liked it the first couple of episodes though). The one I really hate is Gohans, it kinda made me lose respect for the guy.

Dragon ball z kai is really the only dragon ball series that I remember well. I remember majin buu from when I was little, but that's all for the older ones. The only thing is that nicktoons screwd up the "OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAND!!!!!" scene.

Don't like how they don't show most hits besides energy blasts and body parts humans don't have(tails), but I like it.

Nicktoons doesn't show the episodes fast enough, so I went ahead and found the japanese ones with english subs. I'm in the cell saga.

I enjoy DBZK for being faster-paced and more plot-oriented than the original DBZ.

I would, however, be far more pleased with the series if Nicktoons would establish a set schedule.

DBZK on Nicktoons is okay. Still wish it was on Cartoon Network though.
However, see the one 4Kids made. Mr.Popo is blue!

Anyway, I would also like it if they showed blood.
