Do you ever find people tend to respect trainers more than coordinators? Once I was going to trade someone but as soon as they figured out I was going to use the Pokémon for contests they didn't want to trade. Like it was a waste or something. When people say Anyone else have similar problems?

I have noticed that. Discriminating against someone based on the way they train their Pokémon is wrong. And if someone who is about to trade with you finds out you are a coordinator and revokes the trade offer, than that person is a jerk. I don't understand why people can't just treat contests and battles equally, like Nando in the Anime.

Thats actually kinda true, even in the anime theres loads more battles than contensts.
Even oen of my freinds said at school that he diddnt get what the point of contests where.

i think that if pokemon was real--contests and all--i would be a coordinator. though there is the problem of my stage fright O_o

My goodness other people into contests. I'm not the only one.o_O

I hope people are still posting here.

I haven't had discrimination towards me liking contests maybe because I have never traded for a contest Pokemon before but has anyone noticed how ever since the pokethlon been introduced to SS and HG that alot of people are saying they're glad contests are gone. Some even act like the contests tainted the games or something and should never come back.

I love pokethlon aswell but I can't see why contests can't be in the same game to give options. They both give different forms of fun to me and while I am enjoying SSand pokethlon, I do miss my other form of fun contests. So I'm going to be switching games quite alot now.

Though I'm really worried gamefreak will listen to them and scrap contests next gen entirely.=(

I'm more of a battler but I have my fun in contests sometimes and in my opinion, I see no problem trading a pokemon to see that pokemon become a contest pokemon actually it would do me proud to see one my pokemon do that considering I was/am never really good in them. I really hope they don't get rid of contest!

i agree, i see no problem in trading pokemon to people that want to put them in contests. ash traded his aipom to dawn so she could use it in contests. and you have to do contests to finish the game with 5 stars

yes, i seem to have this problem too. personally, i think contests are a bit harder than gym battles (anime wise) because you have to look beautiful and be a good battler. and not to mention that you cannot just pop into some contest hall at anytime to do a contest...there are only a specific amounts every year.

Oh, hey there Princess! Lol, anyways I agree, in a way contest may be harder than gym battles because you need to balance power and grace, not to mention you may ask for a rematch anytime at a gym though you can't do that in contests.
