After the Beatles broke up in 1970, who do you think had the best post-Beatles career. John Lennon's solo work with Yoko Ono, Paul McCartney with Wings, George Harrison with his humanitarian work, or Ringo Starr doing....um....Ringo Starr stuff? I guess you can also count Pete Best, although no one has seen him around recently....

Personally I have to say John Lennon, since Imagine is one of my favorite albums.

I'm gonna say Paul, because he's still going strong - still kicking out the jams and doing his charity work. If John or George were still alive today, I don't honestly know how well their careers would be going.

Then again, Ringo Starr was Mr Conductor and Thomas the Tank Engine, so I was sorely tempted to say he wins - purely out of bias, of course.

Paul had probably the best post-Beatles career. Regardless he's still just my second favorite. Ringo holds a special place in the upper-leftmost part of my heart. I mean he was Mr. Con-freaking-ductor!

Oh yeahhh! I forgot that Ringo was Mr. Conductor on Thomas the Tank Engine.

Well it depends on what we consider best. If we talk about prestige and legend, I'd say John had by far the best post-Beatle career. If we talk about success and all those fancy things, Macca alone beats the other three together.

Although my fab-ourite one is George.

In terms of success, definitely Paul.

In terms of what I like, I'd say definitely George. All Things Must Pass is by far my favorite Beatles solo album, so much so that I almost put it on the level of a Beatles album. I really didn't like any of the other solo albums. John and Paul each had some decent solo songs, but in my opinion there's really no reason to get their solo albums.

I always think that John and Paul wrote the best Beatles songs while also writing some not so good ones, while George wrote consistently excellent songs.

Let's see, John did best solo, Paul had Wings, Ringo was Thomas (A voice I shall never forget in those first two series) and George had the Travelling Wilburys. I'd say it's a tie. I have John's greatest hits album though, so I'm slightly inclined in his favour.

Agree. All Things Must Pass changed the way I see the world.

But they all had great solo albums. John's Imagine and Walls and Bridges are superb. Macca had two big classics with Ram and Band on the Run, and Ringo (the album) is the closest we could ever get to a Beatles reunion. And George's Cloud Nine and Brainwashed kick ass.

John has done a very good job. He desearves the most successful Career after the Beatles. HE WINS NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!
