Anime character battles!

So want to battle as your favourite Anime character without all the complications of IVs, EVs and natures? Then you’ve come to the right place.

Firstly, choose a character from the Anime who you want to be. You are then restricted to their Pokémon whom you may use as a team. Up to and including 6 Pokémon are allowed.

Rules

• Only Pokémon that the character have, or have had, in a Poké Ball are eligible. No befriending or borrowed Pokémon.
• No EVs, perfect IVs and neutral natures. Perfect IVs are due to PO giving them by default. Both sides having pefect IVs means that neither player has an advantage or disadvantage.
• Pokémon do not have to have their movesets from the Anime (it just screws over too many Pokémon to have their real movesets). They still need to be legal movesets in-game however. The program will tell you if you’re trying to create an illegal moveset, so don’t worry about starting a battle and being called out on for an illegal moveset.
• Items are allowed.
• Dream World abilities are not allowed. If a Pokémon has had its ability confirmed in the show, you need to use that ability.
• Pokémon with confirmed genders should have the confirmed gender. If their gender isn't confirmed, you may use whatever you wish.

All battles must have an equal number of Pokémon used by each side eg 3 vs 3 or 5 vs 5; no 2 vs 3 etc. Thus, if you’re Ash challenging Iris, you can only use 3 of the Pokémon in your team as Iris only has 3 Pokémon. In the interest of fairness, I recommend the player playing Ash would use an RNG to randomly choose his Pokémon otherwise they have an unfair advantage of being able to choose which 3 Pokémon to use.

Also, if the majority of players want a change to one of the rules, then they'll be changed. Democracy and all that ~

What if a Pokemon has less than four moves am I aloud to add

Yes, you can give the Pokémon 4 moves even if they don't know 4 in the show.

So pretty much no need to touch any IV/EV/etc, leave them as they are, leave the nature as "hardy" that doesn't change anything - right? that's how I did it now when I built Dawn's team
Also: "Pokémon do not have to have their movesets from the Anime" - I can understand why you made this rule, but doesn't that kind of makes them... not the real character's team? I did give them the exact move sets they had in the anime, since I thought that's kind of the whole point... I don't know, maybe we should see what others think about that, or maybe there should be some kind of limit like a must to keep at least 2 of the moves a Poké used in the anime?...
Items... I'd rather not bother with them, but I'll go with it if others want it

Some pokemon's moves aren't given, eg. Conway's Aggron. Maybe where moves exist, they should be used?

The thought behind the moves rule was that the real anime movesets can sometimes just make characters horribly unusable and that with some freedom on moves, it would be more balanced.
Plus you always see Pokémon returning with some new moves, so it isn't totally out of nowhere. Just pretend they've come back or something :P

Are Gym Leader teams allowed to use Pokemon from both their game and anime teams, or anime teams only?

I'd say anime. If your opponent doesn't mind Poké from the games, then that could be fair too. In general if you and your opponent mutually agree to not use one of the rules, then that's fine.

No EVs and only neutral natures, huh? That's kind of a bummer. Though I guess I can understand why.
