"Raise and evolve Kibago" and "become a Dragon master" are two different goals. Evolving Kibago is Dragon Village's traditional trial for become an adult, Dragon masters are strong trainers who mastered in Dragon type pokemon. They're related, but not same thing.1- It was stated that the reason she's on a journey is to raise and evolve Kibago
I don't remember Japanese lines, but from dub:2- It was stated in BW027 that Dragon Masters are very strong trainers that can synch with Dragon-type pokémon to make them stronger.
That doesn't mean they shouldn't use non-Dragon types. Neither what you said exclude non-Dragon types.Ash: "Dragon Masters?"
Cilan: "I've heard of them. They're people who get along very well with Dragon types and know how to truly bring out the richest flavour. Isn't it right Iris?"
Iris: "You got it!"
We didn't see rest of his pokemon team in the show. Also, he interested in a (Doryuuzu trainer) girl with no Dragon types.3- The one Dragon Master we know of uses dragons.
She also said, Satoshi's won doesn't count because Tsutarja isn't a Dragon type...4- Langley paints a portrait of Dragon Master as Dragon users.
Iris doesn't think so...Iris, when she was a kid, befriended wild Pokémon regardless of type, that's how she got Doryuuzu. Befriending Pokémon of other types is a character trait rather than linked to her Dragon Master goal.
1. It doesn't invalidate anything. Iris always interested in capturing and using non-Dragon types. Otherwise, 3/2 of her pokemon team is useless for her goal. One line in one episode doesn't invalidate everything else that was said regarding Dragon Masters.
2. That's what she said. I don't see any reason to not believe her...
