I'm a man of science, I actually have a Bachelors degree in Biology and I'm interested in continuing into my own research after I finish my postgrad.
Basically, I'm never going to leave University XD
Just went through this entire thread, and saw that I hadn't posted yet.
My dream job for a while has been to work for Scaled Composites and build horizontal takeoff space planes. I have recently been wanting to be a musician as well.
Electronic Music producer.
Hang the DJ.
I intend to be a software engineer. I just adore computers and code and it's something that makes me happy unlike anything else in the world. (:
"Let us go early to the vineyards to see if the pomegranates are in bloom - there I will give you my love."
I'm thinking of doing animal related stuff - my most recent talk with the prof kinda leads me to animal ecology.
All you need is M-E-G-A-N-E
Then again, I change this sort of thing fairly often.
I'm in my 2nd semester (out of 4) for my ADN - Registered Nursing. I'm working at a big-box retailer in Electronics. I also love Biology. I plan on getting a Master's in Nursing and becoming a nurse practitioner and/or more. We'll see! :]
"Not a shred of evidence exists in favor of the idea that life is serious."
I think I might like a career in writing... If not that then I'd like a career in Astronomy or Archeology and other stuff related to that.
Physics, physics, physics♫
I love stars... so much. Don't get me started on stars ;_;
the psychology of children has always fascinated me. like why we forget what it's like to be a kid at 20 or how we used to process things compared to how we do as adults. i was thinking about going to school to be a child psychologist, like helping kids get through divorces or who have/had parents with drug and/or abuse problems.
but then, after taking an anthropology course my senior year of high school i figured i could also go to school for social anthro, the study of people within a culture in sub social groups. basically how people act among each other in little groups, or cliques, within a society.
or i could just keep trying with my band and be a professional punk band xD
I'm still trying to figure that out. What I really want to do is work at a zoo, but I want more than the salary of a zoo keeper. I absolutely love working with exotics, so I want to do that but I feel like I need to find something that's more than still being an hourly wage. I figure I'll do that at least for a few years out of school and then try and figure something else out.
I'm going on my third year studying skeletal anthropology. I really hope to get a scholarship to the University of New Mexico, so that I can major in physical anthropology and possibly go into forensics or archaeology. Though I'm also fairly content with any sort of typical "undertaking", my family says I'm notoriously unfazed by dead people. But I have a strong leniency to bones, I find them a lot easier to deal with and more pleasant than flesh and anatomy.
My aspired-for career would be making video games. Thinking through it thoroughly, I can say that the times when I played video games were the most enjoyable moments of the day. I enjoyed the Math and the Science classes in school, of course, but if I could, I would try to make video games. I subverted this dream and locked it away because it seemed like such a sinful, impossible request; if I were ever asked what I wanted to be when I grow up, I would say to be a doctor of some kind. Now, however, the making games has become a business to be taken much more seriously. I'm glad that the dream that once seemed so distant was brought that much closer to me, and just in time for me to try for it.
Actually, I'm surprised at the number of other people on this thread who also want to do something with making video games. I expected many, many more. Especially given the context of this forum, with how many game ideas I've seen boiling up in users' minds, with how many sprites I've seen cranked out, and all that fanfiction journeying into new regions or exploring deeper concepts of the pokemon world- that there would be a whole lot more people here interested in going that direction.
