People bitching about every little thing when most of them are going to buy the games anyway.
I really have always hated hearing people say things like "After this gen I'm quitting Pokemon," or "If they don't do things the way I want them, I'm quitting." For example, "If they make another Fire/Fighting final starter evolution, I'm quitting Pokemon." Why let one or two things that you don't like about the new games ruin the whole experience for you? Nothing is going to be 100% the way YOU want it, but if the overall experience is still a solid Pokemon game, why ragequit?
Waiting for Pokemon X and Pokemon Y since January, 2013!
People saying: "I wanted remakes of (insert name of older Pokemon game here), not a new game", and "Pokemon hasn't been good since (insert name of older Pokemon game here)".
Also,
Not even a day after the release video, I couldn't Google for pics of Fennekin without furries (and worse) showing up with SafeSearch on moderate.

Smogon: 'Nuff said.
Unexpected life problems is fair enough, happens to everyone, but as I've said elsewhere, I don't accept that people can't save up money between now and October if they have some sort of regular income. And even then like, you don't HAVE to get the game as soon as it's released. A novel concept to some, I'm sure, but still.
And I never said you aren't allowed your opinion on what's expensive, of course you are, but I'm entitled to mine too, and, in my opinion, the 3DS isn't expensive any more.
I don't care for all of the rumors. I mean some of them are fun and make the whole experience much more live, but on the same token most of the rumors are draining; some are so bad that it's difficult to imagine that anyone actually put any real thought into them. I understand creativity but in a series like Pokemon you also have to be realistic. And it's not common that you find a rumor that is both realistic and rational.
I also don't like unrealistic wishlists. You always see a lot of those at the beginning of a new generation.

I dont like the fake rumors people make up. Sure, its fine to have wishlists and say "Id like this in the games" but making up rumors and saying " I work for TCPi and found out this and this" and passing it off as real is annoying and can get people's hopes up.
Fake final evos, and a lot of complaining about Fire/Fighting starters. Does Fennekin LOOK like a Fire/Fighting to you? (Then again, Tepig didn't)
According to my hubby, that sort of thing started popping up 12 minutes after the original vid was posted. Twelve minutes. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
But yeah, this kind of thing makes me sick, especially before a new game. There are some bits of fanart that I'd rather never see. >.<

Oh, holy and (at the same time) damned Route 34....er, Rule 34. (Did someone point that the very first breeding Daycare in the Pokémon series was in Route 34?)
Whatever, R34 is OK for me when human (and adult!) characters come out (While most fanmade porn is just gross, rarely you can find true beautiful masterpieces of erotism. I don't think I can post an example here, but there is). What is really disturbing, is that, the more twisted is, the faster it spreads. So, furries spread through internet rather faster than human characters' porn.

Returning to the topic, what I hate most about new generations, are nostalgic haters "bleh bleh pkms r becomin digimn hurr durr GEN I RULEZ AND GEN [anything over II] SUCKS".
Me verás volar por la ciudad de la furia...
What happens in Ferris Wheel... stays in Ferris Wheel.
There is only one thing I hate about new generations approaching, and I'm not sure anyone else has mentioned it yet. I don't hate the fake rumours or fake evolutions, or even complaints from older fans saying how bad the new games are. No, there is only one thing i cannot stand, this one inevitable thing.
I hate the inevitable, mind destroying, torturous wait. I hate the wait. I hate waiting for October come so we can get our hands on it...
I hate wishing for The Doctor to come to me and take me to the future just so I can play the game already..
I hate the wait.
Like everyone's said, the wait is the worst. When the game finally comes out I would have lost interest in the series for a while.
I have to also agree about the waiting being one of the more annoying parts of a new gen being released, but to be fair I also have plenty to keep me preoccupied, it's not like it was when I was younger and I really got hyped up.
For me personally the worst part is all the complaining about little things from fans, who as mentioned you know will end up purchasing it at some point anyway. Nothing is ever perfect.
