I still think Chespin's final form will be wearing bark plate armor.

Chespin- some giant rodent thing with plant armor, I cant elaborate more since I dont even know what Chespin is.

Fennekin- Epic fire fox

Froakie- this one's hard to predict as well, but Im going to make a guess at a giant blue frog that may or may not be bipedal

Even though those images are obviously fan-made, they don't look too shabby. Fennekin's "final" form seems the most believable out of the three, but none of them would be that bad. It would seem to justify any possibility of their theorized secondary types. I could see them evolving in that direction. Again, these are obviously fan-made, but I could see these three as final forms (or close enough) for the Starters. Interesting.

Blah, I can't think of a good final evolution for Fennekin without thinking of Ninetales. x_x For Froakie, I was thinking of an overweight frog with bulky muscles, which will suggest that it is Water/Fighting. It's hard for me to come up with one for Chespin, too... I just hope whatever it is looks as good as Chespin does. I have high hopes that the good designs of the starters might mean that the rest of their lines will be good as well. I hope that their final types will be Grass/Dark, Fire/Psychic, and Water/Fighting. In the long run, I don't really care what their types are, except NO Fire/Fighting. I'm counting on you to break that horrible chain, Fennekin!!!

And that fan art looks really good, actually. If those were real, I'd probably end up choosing Froakie.

Finnekin is gonna be fire/psychic plus i always like the fire starter of any region

As long as Fennekin's final form is bipedal, i couldn't care less if it's a fire/psychic, fire/fighting or pure fire type :P

Looking at Chespin I'd say it has the potential to look quite awesome in its fully evolved form. Looks sorta like a strange mix between Shiftry and Typhlosion in my mind when I think about it. Every time I try imagining Fennekin's evolved form Ninetales keep popping up in my mind. I have no idea how Froakie will turn out but I hope it will be epic, at the moment I could see it becoming very Swampert-ish with a bit of Poliwrath thrown in, which is pretty cool. Can't wait to see the fully evolved forms though.

It's kind of hard to try and figure out the designs that GF will come up with. I mean with Gen V I was expecting Oshawatt to all of a sudden go from being bi-pedal in his first 2 stages to being on all 4 on his final stage. Anyways here are my guesses as far as typing goes.

Chespin- Grass/Dark
Fennekin- Fire/Psychic or Pure Fire
Froakie- Water/Fighting or Water/Poison

Let me start by saying that if the secondary type rumors are true, it would be a great way of incorportating that speculated Dark/Psychic/Fighting trio rumored since Gen IV.

Anyway, I would love to see Chespin become a weasel or Excadrill-like creature, but it wouldn't be surprising if it becomes a hedgehog-thing based on its Japanese name origins. Chespin itself looks like a chipmunk with a hat. (Snivy is classified as a Grass Snake, but is a lizard and doesn't become an actual snake until it fully evolves.)

Fennekin should hopefully become a sleek speedster (and its role as a starter means it shouldn't be the Lucario/Zoroark of this gen), and Froakie can be the last Journey to the West-inspired warrior.

Fennekin...I can see why it's so popular, but I'm not big friend of these cute foxes/canines (excluding Poochyena). Froakie is just another frog, but not bad either.

Gonna buy 3DS, pick Pokémon X when it comes out and start with Chespin!

I've said this before, but the first thing that popped into my head when I saw them was fakemon. Their art just looks like fakemon art. Maybe I'll like their evolutions better. I will say that both legendaries are awesome, especially the Y bird.

Same, when Pokémon Direct was about to go into the Trailer, I was like "OMG, HERE WE GO" ........ and then for a second after being so shocked seeing all the 3Dness, I then saw the new Starters, I thought they were playing a joke... until I saw the Battle scenes... I thought all 3 were fakemon. Even though they do look like fakemon, it's nice to see that they maybe took ideas from fans, possibly?

Absolutely love all 3 of them though! Can't wait for the evolutions to be revealed, and I literally cannot choose between all 3, so I may buy both X and Y, trade a bit, and have all 3 in my Team just for the fun of it, haha.

That is not confirmed yet.

The fact Fennekin used a Psychic move in the video may just mean that it can learn psychic moves (Like Ninetales can learn Ghost moves)

I believe Froakie will be more like Toxicroak (body-wise) than like Seismitoad. People are obsessed with the idea of all frog Pokémon being fat or bulky and there is nothing on Froakie's design suggesting that it will evolve into something with these characteristics. Froakie is basically the Chimchar of this Generation (body-wise). As far as type goes, I can see it being Water/Fighting, Water/Poison or even Water/Dark (if the burglar theory ends up being true).

Without assuming too much about the second types, I still HOPE that Froakie will be Water/Dark.

He might not even be based on a thief anyways, but that idea is so cool.

I've seen quite a bit of fanart of it already, in which it often looks better (or at least less malnourished)

in all seriousness though, to me, Fennekin just looks sleek, and not malnourished.
