Thread: Starter Discussion and Speculation

I'm in the Fennekin camp. I usually pick either fire or water anyway.

My favourite defiantly has to be Chespin! It's just soooooo cuuuuute!!! My most likely starter choice for sure! But hey October's a long way off so who knows.

Mine is Froaki, I like all Frog Pokes, though Fennekin interests me, as the animal that it's based on lives in my childhood Kibuz (I'm from Ein Gedi, near the dead sea, which is full of them)

I'm extremely excited to pick Fennekin. It just looks like my type of Pokemon, I guess. It looks to be the Fragile Speedster. something I've been wanting since Treecko. I shall name him Zarza and he shall be mine forever.

But...HOLY SHI- FROAKIE = COQUI.

WE HAVE A COQUI STARTER. I THOUGHT I'D NEVER SEE THE DAY!

I still prefer Fennekin because of his super adorableness, though. This is the first Generation since Kanto in which I favor the fire type.

Overall, these are the best-looking starters we've had since Hoenn.

I have to pick the frog (which is somehow losing the poll!). It's so adorable! But so is the grass starter... hmm...

Gotta say, I'm shocked that Froakie seems to be the most popular of them all, because upon first glance of them, that's the one that I thought was really weak. Chespin is okay, but nothing special.

Fennekin is my favourite for the now (having not seen their evolutions). I love Fire-types, so yeah. Not looking forward to all of the furry-related things surrounding it, though.

Chespin because he looks like a rodent and I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove rodents :D

At the most, definitely Fennekin. It just look so adorable, and I have a soft spot for Fire starters. see what i did there However, Chespin also looks appealing. Froakie is probably my least favourite at this moment in time.

What the heck are you talking about? Froakie isn't the most popular, it is the least... unfortunately.

Chespin. Because Pokemon wearing hats is awesome. Also because it sounds/looks like Chestpin.

I'm leaning towards Froakie or Chespin at this point in time.I'm not quite sure of which of those two I like more. With the reveal of the starter's evolutions I may change my mind tho...so I guess I really don't know yet. haha

Chespin looks cool as heck but i promised to use a water type this gen, so Froakie it is! the moment when his eyes narrow before he attacks is one of the best in the trailer.

I like all their designs (well, Froakie's isn't my favourite), but I think I will go with Fennekin, unless we get another Fire-Fighting type.

And... Was that a Psywave attack (vs. Kirlia in the trailer)? If it's fire/psychic, I definitely want it.

Fennekin seems feminine. Could Kin possibly stand for Kinesis for it? Which would improve it's chances of being a Fire/Psychic type when it evolves?
