Maybe it's just me, but I don't see Heart and Soul as opposites. It reminds me of the phrase "I love you with all my heart and soul" that is to say, my entire being. Perhaps it could be opposites in regards to which part of me we're talking about (Heart being a physical part, Soul being a spiritual part), but they're both still parts of me.

I guess what I want to get across is it's not going to be predictable. PassionRuby and HonestSapphire aren't any more likely to be the names any more than TerraRuby and MareSapphire. Or BlazingRuby/SoothingSapphire. Or anything that we'll think of.

Oh, I think it will definitely be an event, but not in these games. If it was a Hoenn based event then they would need to promote a Hoenn based Pokemon along side him don't you think?

Kyurem is not a Hoenn based Pokemon. I don't really doubt that Hoenn will be remade (and hopefully it will be the last) but just not now. As for the names: MagmaRuby/AquaSapphire duh lol (Though I love the names Reining Ruby Supreme Sapphire as well) Expected around 2014-16 ish.

If they go with elemental names, then Groudon/Ruby is to be related with land or the sun (both making sense), and Kyogre/Sapphire is to be related to the ocean (or perhaps to rain as well / instead--I may be the first to suggest that).

So, to try and close the discussion (even as I spur it), I'll be as comprehensive as possible:

Ruby--Land Ruby, Earth Ruby, Ground Ruby, Blazing Ruby/Blaze Ruby (elementally, sunlight), Burning Ruby/Burn Ruby (Blazing being preferable), Sun Ruby.

Sapphire--Ocean Sapphire, Sea Sapphire, Deep Sapphire, Sink Sapphire (a play on pink sapphire), Drenching Sapphire/Drench Sapphire (elementally, relatable to rain).

Ruby, alternate format--Ruby Red (not strictly an elemental name, but here put), Ruby Gleam (?--same as before, not elemental), Ruby Sun, Ruby Blaze. (Here I put the "Ruby" first, as I did for "Sapphire" below. With Ruby coming first, a "Sun"-related name makes better sense, so no elemental ground/land references.)

Sapphire, alternate format--Sapphire Blue (similar to, contrasting with Ruby Red), Sapphire Sea, Sapphire Ocean, Sapphire Deep, Sapphire Rain(?).

MagmaRuby and AquaSapphire were made up a long time ago. I think there are some fake videos on Youtube about these names.

PassionRuby and HonestSapphire are the best names, in my opinion. A ruby represents passion, and a sapphire represents honesty(but Purim already stated that in a previous post).

Yes, MAYBE honesty and passion aren't as related as fire and leaves, but if they sound nice together I'm sure Nintendo or Game Freak or whoever will use it.

Even though GF do some pretty stupid things, I don't think they'd just throw two random words together and hope for the best.

Passion and honesty are kind of related. They're both things that people should strive to have in their lives.

The problem is that you can say that about most things, though. At least Heart and Soul were linked through phrases/sayings, and that kind of thing.
