hope it comes out this year
The reason why I want two regions is that after you beat the main storyline of one region, the game becomes boring to me.
I doubt it will be out this year. I predict R/S remakes will be out in 2014. Or at the very least, 2012.

So Pokemon Grey/Chrome first and then the remakes I hope

Am I the only one who liked Sinnoh Region?
Sinnoh wasn't bad, but it wasn't nearly as good as Hoenn was in emerald...
Anyway, back on the subject of remake discussion?
This will have been discussed.. but how do you think Unova Pokémon will be introduced into the remakes? They made a point of Unova being far away from past reigons so Pokémon are unable to get to the other (obviously this changed after the league).
I'd like for their to be something that happens which means Unova Pokémon appear. Something like.. a ship crashes in Hoenn which is filled with Unova Pokémon, and obviously the Pokémon escape into the wild. I don't think they will just throw them into Hoenn without making a point of them being there.
Currently, I'm waiting for September to roll on.. because that was when Emerald was originally announced in Japan.. and obviously if September comes and goes without any announcement of the remakes/3rd game it's not coming out similar to how Emerald came out (3rd game and remakes in same year). I just hope it comes first! I wouldn't like for it to be released just before the generation ends like HGSS.
THE NEW GENERATION IS UPON US
GET READY TO START A BRAND NEW ADVENTURE IN THE POKÉMON WORLD!
The only reason pokemon from other generations appear in a game is to make them catchable if they previously unavailable or bothersome to get. If RSDS are in Gen V, we won't be seeing any Unova Pokemon but most likely, Gen I and II Pokemon. There isn't a single reason Unova Pokemon need to be in Hoenn remakes.
Gen V pokémon would naturally become Safari Zone/Swarm fodder, like the decent number of Gen IV pokémon you'll find in HG/SS.
Simple: They won't.
FireRed/LeafGreen didn't have any Hoenn-first Pokémon, and HGSS had only a few Sinnoh-first ones. And Unova really is far away, which is why until the post-game of BW, only Unova-first Pokémon are found.
However, since there's probably nowhere left to explore post-game, I can see them changing what's found in the grass/water to add more Kanto/Johto/Sinnoh Pokémon, mostly the ones BW missed. The two extra zones in Safari Zone could help in this department too.
I imagine that non-Hoenn Dex Pokémon will only be made available after obtaining the National Pokédex. For example, I hope they expand on the Pokéblock mechanic in the Safari Zone, to attract certain rare species (and post-Nat Dex Pokémon after getting the Nat Dex).
