Also, I dought they'd ever get rid of the ingame data for a held item.

After all I think the only held items that have been removed are ones from Gen II. The theory about the prism Scale controdicts itself with the ingame data of the scarfs.

Prism Scale you mean. Marvel Scale is Milotic's ability.

Hmm. I wonder if they had a reason to leave them there? If they are gonna remake RS, or have them included in "Grey", it would have a point, but otherwise?

I think that the wish tag should be an event item. Because that girl next to the rock confused me to no end as a child, because I thought it would have some sort of cool purpose (cough Jirachi cough).

Does anyone else feel like the flow of R/S/E was a little off?
I fought every trainer I could,and still, by the time I beat all the gym leaders and got through victory road My starter wasn't even fully evolved.

I would hope in the remakes, they'd throw in more opportunities to train, or just make all the opponent's levels higher.

No, I'm pretty sure this is just you. My pokemon were more than prepared for the E4. I'm at the 7th gym, and my pokemon are at Lv 43.

I could go on for hours about how their should be remakes of R/S/E, but that's not what this thread is abut. There are many things that the remakes should have, in my opinion.

Plot wise
-Rather than having them be complete remakes, they should be sequels a la Gold/Silver. This is because of the 8 year gap between the games.
-What should happen is each should be a branching sequel to Emerald. If it's Ruby version, then Team Magma will return, and have a very cunning plan like that of Ghetsis, mostly to make up for being the most idiotic villains we ever had, same for Sapphire.
-The plan should be something along the lines of this: search for the location of their legendary, find said legend, whose location depends on the version, and use Groudon/Kyogre for their purposes.
-Said plan will fail, and the awoken legend will awaken Groudon/Kyogre and begin a battle, forcing the player to awaken Rayquaza. After the battle is calmed, the player must fight the cover legendary, the other being capturable in its original location post-E4.
-Rayquaza will be where it always is, except it cannot be reached because the Champion will be blocking their way to Sky Pillar until after the E4.
-Wally will be the new Champion, and Steven will be a Bonus Boss in the post game.
-Many locations in Hoenn have changed due to natural disasters, Mt. Chimney erupting and obliterating Lavaridge and Fallarbor, or Pacifidlog being swept away with the tide.
-Mauville's status will change depending on the versions, paralleling Opleucid in Black/White, with New Mauville having overtaken it in one and staying the same in the other.
-Locations that formerly were optional, such as the Winstrate family, are made relevant, perhaps by them giving you Rock Smash or a plot-relevant Key Item.

Gameplay-wise
-Boats being usable for all water routes, but Surf still being an option, the reasoning being HMs were not needed in Black/White and the constant complaints over water routes.
-Contests being removed, ironically enough, and replaced with something like the Pokéathlon.
-Similarly, the Game Corner would be removed, which is simple enough considering the renovated Mauville.
-There will be a way to track where berries have been planted.

Aesthetically
-Really, it should be 3DS to take advantage of Hoenn's gorgeous scenery.

NO. Sure, add the Pokéathlon in, it was great, but DON'T remove the original and best contests. You just CAN'T.

Sure you can. They just don't have to add it in the game and make the place a kindergarten or something

I'm thinking that RS Remakes will probably incorporate the Battle Frontier from Emerald, replacing the Battle Tower. Hopefully they have gym leader rematches and where the Elite Four get stronger a second time, like what has recently been happening. Obviously I'd also want RS Remakes to be rendered in 3D (probably 3DS 3D because it's likely they'd be on the 3DS) because Hoenn is the only region not to have some sort of 3D.

Yes, I would want them to be 3DS exclusive. Even B/W, if you look, was made up of large polygons where they could, so the extra power from the two new ARM 11's (not to mention the graphics card) would make Hoenn look splendid. And maybe 3D battles? Pleeease?

The '3D-out-of-the-screen-effect' would liven up Pokemon battles, but it alone isn't a reason to shift to the 3DS.

My idea's for "MagmaRuby and AquaSapphire":

- Make atleast contests just like the anime.
- You can chose between badges or ribbons.
- Walking Pokémon will return yes, but only your starter (or Pikachu, as a homage to Pokémon Yellow).
- The new main characters will be named "Reuben" (from Ruby) and "Marina" (From Marine). They will be 11 years old again.
- The not chosen main character, will not serve as a rival, but more "psuedo-rival", just like Dawn/Lucas/Lyra/Ethan.
- Wally will be your new "main" rival.
- Semi-Event Pokémon is Rayquaza. If you bring Kyogre to MagmaRuby or Groudon to AquaSapphire.
- Event Pokémon itself will be Mew, Jirachi and Deoxys.
1. Mew will be again on Faraway Islands.
2. Jirachi will be on a new island, "Wonder Island". You can catch Jirachi on level 7.
3. Deoxys will be again on Birth Islands.
- Team Rocket will be "undercover" on Battle Frontier. (Since this game is in the same timeline as Fr/Lg). They have to search for Latias/Latios. They won't be version exclusives and they won't be event either.
- Team Magma/Team Aqua will return ofcourse.
- Regigigas will be catchable in the Battle Pyramid if you bring the Regi's to Brandon. He's catchable on level 50.
- A NPC will guide you to an island, similiar to Sinjoh Ruins. You can get the "Original Orb" and if you place it on "The White Symbol", "The Black Symbol" or "The Corpse Symbol". Reshiram, Zekrom or Kyurem will be on level 1.
- The Game Corner will be replaced by a Time Machine were you can trade with Black or White.

Yes, but I disagree with only starters and Pikachu following you, I want Haxorus (brought over from White of course) following me, followed by my starter, then the other four.

We already have a Marina thanks.
And Reuben is a horrible name. Not as bad as Hilda and Hilbert, but still pretty bad.

I'm pretty sure they will stick with Brendan and May for the names.
