I agree. Make sure all the games will be compatible with each other. Unlike how gen 3 wasn't able to trade with gen 2. That was terrible, it was the main reason I hated gen 3 at the time.

I'd like to see updated movesets for the Hoenn pokemon since there have been a lot of new attacks in D/P and B/W.

I definitely don't want to see more evolutions, I'd like them to stay how they are instead of looking more and more like machines than monsters :|

Return of the PokeBlocks would be nice, it was always fun making those. I'd also like more and more sidequests AFTER the E4 besides the battle frontier + catching all the pokemon. In emerald there were also the johto starters + Entei, Suicune, and Raikou and it'd be cool if there were more fun little distractions incorporated with an update.
    That's my 2 cents :)

Aside from the fact that Gamefreak only accepts communications in Japanese, fan-originated online petitions have almost zero impact on what a company may or may not do.

Also, even if the games were on the 3DS, trading with B&W on the DS would be extremely easy to implement. It wouldn't need to affect compatibility at all. There are no longer any link cables to worry about; only data being sent over wireless, either locally or via Wi-Fi. The 3DS communication methods are compatible with those of the DS.

in britan things are very expensive how are we suppose to afford
    a 3ds on poket money?
you cant so if we do a petition of large enough volume ( for example we all take areas) we could have enough time to get a 3ds before the gen.

ive heard they are allso very expensive in the us. ive got a hint anyway amazon is cheep.( not cheep enogh for me though)

As I mentioned a few posts up, this isn't a thread to discuss the 3DS pricing. Your earlier post talked about a concern for compatibility between a hypothetical 3DS Gen V game and the existing DS Gen V games, which I addressed with my last post.

There's really nothing more to be said about the 3DS price. New technology costs money; it's inevitable.

Ah, FRLG are just strange when it comes to the pokedex(which seriously needs an overhaul for Gen1 and 2, and a rename for Gen 5).

FRLG expects us to believe all the Gen 2 mons in Kanto in Gen 2 went there in the 3 years separating 1 and 2, and all the Pokemon that are not indigenous to Kanto, ones gotten through Trading or Safari Zone not available in the wild, are some how 'naturally' Kanto Monsters. Not to mention the happyness evo snafu and the Sevii Islands, which ALSO make Gen 2 mons indigenous to Kanto.

TL;DR? Sevii Islands explains the Gen 2 mons being before Gen 3 post Reboot. Doesn't explain the Kanto/National dex ordering though.

I personally don't mind the order of the national dex -- it makes sense chronologically in real lfe.

Personally, I think the pokedex is best explained if it were originally just a one man job by Oak, who just indexed the pokemon he remembered from his own travels with pokemon. Hence why the three pokemon he still has are first and the gen 1 pokemon with low dex numbers are generally the ones that live closest to Pallet Town and the numbers more or less increase as you travel further away.
After Oak made the original pokedex, other pokemon profs contacted Oak to help him make the pokedex more complete by adding pokemon from their region (or pokemon native to Kanto that Oak missed) to the dex order.

Exacly. This explains the discovery of Johto Pokemon pre-Gen IV. Oak and Elm had clearly communicated before HGSS.

Perfect. Honestly this is the way i've always imagined it.

    ^ Makes sense to me.

Back on topic, I think if the remakes happen, they'd follow what has been done in previous remakes: have the original regional Dex and unlock the National one after finishing the story, with maybe a couple of evolutions added.

And I don't have any trouble with that. Playing a Hoenn game with a Zoroark or Lucario or encountering a Trainer with a Galvantula would just feel so non-Hoenn...

Just include the evolutions for all Gen III pokemon. Since there aren't a lot of them, it should be a problem.

And include Chatot. Archie needs his parrot-on-the-shoulder.

I really, really want them to make Ruby/Sapphire remakes, especially if they can make them as well done as they did Heartgold and Soulsilver.
These are the things I hope they do for them.
-Add a couple more battles with Wally, it will make his story seem much more fleshed out.
-If they do walking pokemon, I think it would be cool if they replaced the generic HM move animations, they show the pokemon using it.
-Walking pokemon, but with the option of putting them back into the ball.
-Having Zoroark appear on marrage island. (I think it would be cool.)
-You know how the people it the hotsprings mention how bringing pokemon into the hotspring will cause weird stuff to happen? I want stuff to actually happen when we bring pokemon in. (the fact that nothing happened made me mad when I was a kid.)

I mostly just focused on small stuff... so if I think of big stuff I guess I'll post!
