Instead of Special Attack and Special Defense formes (which would be pointless since Attack Forme covers both Attack and Special Attack, same for Defense Forme), how about an All-Physical Forme (High Attack and Defense, low Sp. Attack. and Sp. Defense.) and an All-Special Forme (High Special Attack and Special Defense, low Attack and Defense)?
On the topic of new Pokémon mid-generation, we've already had them in the form of Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect. They all were revealed and distributed mid-generation, we were not supposed to know about their existance (let alone get them) until officially released by Game Freak/Nintendo, it's the hacking communities and websites like this very one which spoil that, but technically (and officially, if we respect Nintendo's events and wait until those Pokémon are given away), they're still mid-generation Pokémon. So releasing a few new Pokémon mid-generation via DLC would only be both the natural next step in the way events are given (first it was physically via link cable at events, then via e-reader and whatnot, and currently it is Wi-Fi) and the solution to the whole "hackers spoil the surprise of event Pokémon" issue, the only difference lying in that this time they won't be already in the games' coding.
I don't see why it would blur the line of what defines a new generation. If DLC Pokémon were released as it has been done (that is, a few per generation, one or two per year), then it would be clear that it's not the start of a generation, just event Pokémon a la Jirachi, Deoxys et al. Such problem would only arise if they suddenly released 100 event Pokémon, but that would be too much, for in that case, they'd probably just make a new game (one or two new Pokémon are fine, but what would you do with 100 new Pokémon when you've already ebaten the game and done everything you can do in the game? It would be pointless; plus, that would cost too much, and since DLC are usually cheaper than the main game, it wouldn't be profitable either) and thus, clearly start a new generation. It wouldn't be a mid-gen game since it would have the two requirements to start a generation: a new story (unless it was a remake, but I doubt they'd remake an old game but put 100 new Pokémon in it, since that alone would kill the purpose of the remake), and new Pokémon.

I say no formes for anyone. I hate that concept. I find it ridiculous and annoying.
@skaraflame, why would Roxanne have a Camerupt?

But @sonic10158 was talking about changing types in a remake, (a retcon), not a sequel (character development), which are different cases, so it would still be a radical change -actually, a radical retcon. I 'd welcome Tate and Liza (or any other Gym Leader whatsoever) changing their speciality if they reappear in an all new game (i.e. not a remake) just like Jasmine in your example, but for remakes, I think it's better to keep their original typing, and I doubt they'd do such changes.

Seconded. While I don't necessarily hate the concept of formes, there is absolutely NO reason whatsoever for any of the Hoenn legends to receive an alternate forme.
Last thing I need to hear is that Groudon/Kyogre suddenly became weaker after their "initial" confrontation and receive some super power'd formes along with Rayquaza... its really not needed, GameFreak can handle legends in different ways other than new formes.

After B2/W2, I think most of us are sick of formes. I'd rather not see any formes in Gen VI, to be honest.

1. Yeah Deoxys should just have physical form then special form. I actually forgot its forms covered phys and sp.
2. For the same reason Candice has a Medicham.
For the remakes, how about this:
-Evolutions of Gen III Pokemon introduced in Gen IV appear. All of the possibilities are Dusknoir, Froslass, Roserade, Probopass, Gallade. While we're at it, throw Chingling in there as well.
-Steven as champion, but when you go back to rematch him, Wallace is there instead, having just earned the position of champ. Steven can be rematched in Meteor Falls instead.
-Brendan/May to battle at least one more time after Lilycove City.
-Rematches against important characters to include Gen IV and V Pokemon.
-The Frontier Brains to use two of their old Pokemon and a Pokemon from Gen V.
-Make the Scorched Slab have a purpose besides getting Sunny Day, like putting Heatran there or something.
-Use most of the encounter rates from Emerald.
-Since some of the Gym Leaders likely will not have the same TM handouts if their original TM is replaced, give all of them new ones.
What you see isn't always what you get.
There are many reasons to support Ruby & Sapphire Remakes and then there are reasons against them but I won't go into that.
I personally would love these Remakes as soon as possible but I would happily wait out a couple of years for them to be rendered on to the 3DS to have more of an enjoyable experience rather than having them rushed to see out Generation V because I think it's obvious that if these games were to fall under Generation V then they would be on the Nintendo DS since I doubt Game Freak would jump to a completely new handheld within the same Generation.
It's becoming increasingly difficult for more modern players to transfer Pokemon from Generation III (Specifically R/S/E) to the later games such as BW/B2W2 with the introduction of the 3DS. For those who have Nintendo DS systems it's no problem, but they are becoming dominated by the current handheld which is in fact the 3DS which no longer supports a GBA Dual slot thus making it impossible to transfer Pokemon from Gen III > Gen V.
The way I see it will be getting the first set of games to make up Generation VI which would be for the 3DS undoubtedly then a couple of years later the Ruby & Sapphire Remakes will crop up since most players will have moved from the DS to the 3DS and Hoenn will be pretty much outdated in every concept.
♥
RSEmakes will come eventually, in gen 5 or 6. It's all due to money. We all know that these remakes will generate tons of cash. Why would any company shy away from such a nice opportunity.
