Re: Pokémon Remake Discussion (Read First Post!)
......yes....i hope they have a r/s/e remake......i liked the contests, battle frontier, etc and hope the implement the black/white2 features...i don't mind a new story but I'd really still like brendan and a better designed may that's still may(not like lyra/kris).....i think they maybe we should just wait until gen 6 however because gen 5 doesn't have the most changed graphics in my opinion(compared to gen 4)...so it might be better to wait for some new games that have even better graphics than black/white2...though if gray amazes me w would like r/s/e in gen V....and maybe we could bring back pokemon following us around?.....
Re: Pokémon Remake Discussion (Read First Post!)
What's wrong with May? XD
B2W2 look pretty much like BW, new areas aside. RSE would look nice in the current Poke graphics, but kind of doubt they would make yet another DS game(with it coming to the end of it's life). It would be a little pointless to have the pretty much the same engine as Gen V if they were to hop over to the 3DS, so I wonder how exactly they'll look on their, with yet another engine change very likely to occur. O.o
Re: Pokémon Remake Discussion (Read First Post!)
^...welll....of all the female designs.....may's is pretty boring to me...they just need to jazz up her design a bit more.....i seriously would prefer r/s/e remake to be a 3ds game or have distinctively different graphics from black&white2...another thing i just remembered is that I'd wish they'd bring back Pokemon ranger or Pokemon mystery dungeon for gen V...

Hey,maybe the E4 have the same pokemon they did in R/S,but in the rematches they have pokemon t=from like Unova and other generations like the Unova E4.

Personally I think they should definetly go through and make this happen. However should it be a remake or a sequel??? I don't care because I just want to play a new Hoenn game!
*sequel ideas*
*Norman is your Grandfather
*Professer Birch has gone off to unova and sinnoh with cynthia and oak to study them with juniper*
*Upon leaving Birch's Kid Brendan takes over the lab and gives you your pokemon*
*Magma and aqua team up to nab rayquaza to calm Groudon and kyogre after awakening them making them easier catches for the teams*
*In the ruby sequel catch only groudon and then Kyogre after the league and vise versa*
*sequel or not safari zone expansions are a must*
*steven's nephew/niece is your rival.*
*Cheren from unova is the elite four champion*
And either way you still have to have the battle frontier.
just ideas to ponder reply back if you think these are good or not :)

There's one problem:
Kyogre and Groudon already calmed down by the end of Emerald, thanks to Rayquaza
Re: Pokémon Remake Discussion (Read First Post!)
I think its completely possible that they will do sequels because they did do Black 2 and White 2. They could have it take place 9 years after Emerald so its accurate with real time. Some things I'd like to see:
Same Hoenn starters
May takes over the lab and Brich makes apperances kind of like Cedric
Maybe Regis and Regigigas based story and catch weather trio post game
New evil team
Keep some charcters and have new ones. they can show how some charcters have grown and changed, I would really like to see some gym leaders like Brawly older
Make Brendan champion and add some new elite four
Battle Frontier, but with some new places and brains
Battle Wally some way post game okay
New locations!!
Another idea was that, because it's awhile in the future, that what if Wallace was like, the father then because its a sequel, but i just like Wallace so that's why.
Also, i think this game should be on DS because, DS games can be played on 3DS. Most people still have a DS and alot of people don't have a 3DS as of yet anyway. Since you can play it on 3DS anyway, they should wait until Gen 6 until 3D, so they dont switch console mid gen. But they should have a really great game to finish off the DS, sequel or remake, as it was such a long running and popular system. Also, newer fans obviously don't have access to the older games. You need to transfer from Pal park through DS or Ds lite. My DS lite broke so, I can't transfer pokemon anymore.
Re: Pokémon Remake Discussion (Read First Post!)
Remake or sequel, I don't care, as long as it is on the 3DS, even if that means waiting till Gen VI. Game Freak has stayed behind long enough, and I'm sure Mr. Iwata would not be happy with them for still staying behind on another major game.
As for new locations, this place I think would be cool (I also named the other places for reference) :
That place is called Okinawa. Unless it was the inspiration for the Sevii Isles, I think it would be a great place to use for new locations. Maybe even a new post-game sub-region, with a pseudo league, like the Orange islands in the anime, that has 4 gyms instead of 8, and instead of and Elite Four, there'd be just one champion (like Drake in the OI) and instead of being in the middle of nowhere, it could be in a stadium full of people.
Re: Pokémon Remake Discussion (Read First Post!)
I definitely would love to see R/S remakes at some point in the not too distant future. Seeing the Hoenn region in updated graphics, new designs for the characters and being able to re-experience the storyline with some new features thrown into the mix would be awesome. There are a ton of third generation Pokemon that I would love to train again and I'm saving off on training any of them for B2/W2 partly so that I can save that for these games. The idea of making sequels to the original games instead sounds interesting and I wouldn't be necessarily against it if that actually did happen, but I don't know if they would go for a sequel for an older game. It's certainly isn't impossible, but I don't know if it's that likely to happen. Personally, I'd like to just see remakes just so people can experience, or re-experience, the original storyline with a couple of new twists thrown in there to keep it fresh.
As for what system, I definitely think that they'll be on the 3DS since I don't think that they'll keep the main series on the DS system after B2/W2 are out. They would probably be more interested in putting the first main series title on the 3DS anyway, which would be the sixth generation games most likely. So, while I would love for these games to come out in this generation, it's extremely unlikely at this point. I could easily see them come out after the first sixth generation games for the 3DS and I do hope that is the case.

Actually, the Nintendo 3DS has been the best selling video game console in Japan for about a year now; constantly dominating the competition in the weekly sales charts (yeah, including the PS3 and the failVita).
I agree with you saying Gen VI will be the games to debut on the 3DS, but I also don't think we'll see Ruby and Sapphire remakes in Gen V. B2W2 were the last games in my opinion.

Actually The island that Ever Grande city is based on is based off Okinawa, you can look closely at its shape. But, i really like the idea of post league gyms, and traveling to a new, small region area.

this is very true in moi's case being just 14 i wasn't even born for RBGY too young for GSC but just about starting to get into games for Emerald (i was still too young for RS) and emerald was a game i played and played and played until really gen 5
