At least as far as new Pokemon, I really only expect to see the region's rat (because honestly, who cares about them?) and maybe one more random Pokemon seen only in a screenshot and not elaborated upon.
The movie star could be a pokemon that doesn't get simultaneous releases. Why? Because the movie isn't important for the rest of the world (for now).
The Eevee evolution (that I expect to see, not for the title but because of the short itself). I think that this will be revealed internationally specially if there's the first evolution of a old pokemon revealed. However, all the mentions to the short were erased.
What will happen with the pokemon revealed on CoroCoro?
-Pokemon that are revealed with the proposal of being in the games, in exclusivity or mainly, will be released internationally in around 48 hours (when it's released, NOT leaked).
-Pokemon that are only relevant for a particular movie/episode of the anime won't be released for a while. The movie promotion doesn't go too far internationally (In fact, Keldeo wasn't released for the movie outside Japan).
And one thing very surpised: Xerneas and Yveltal DON'T HAVE JAPANESE NAMES. Although I expect to be the Saaniasu and Aiberutaru (officially the same name).
From what I am guessing, each issue of Coro-Coro will reveal 3 to 5 new Pokemon, a few screenshots, some features, and a character or two every other month.
Considering the game is to be released in October and was only announced this month, it's likely news will come out very slowly. Here's what I'm thinking:
January: We only see the starters and legendaries, that's it, basically, everything we already know, cept probably the official artwork of the legendaries.
February: Little to no new information on the games, news on Movie 16, reveal of the movie 16 star, the "Lucario clone" of Gen 6, possible new Eeveelutions as well.
March: News and screenshots of the games, main characters and region name revealed, 3-5 new Pokemon revealed.
April: Information of a few in-game features revealed, regional professor, rival, and some supporting characters revealed, 3-5 new Pokemon revealed.
May: More new features revealed, more information on previously revealed features, 3-5 new Pokemon revealed.
June: Movie 16 released, More new features and details revealed, announcement of first Gen 6 distribution event, 3-5 new Pokemon revealed.
July through September: News begins to slow down as the release date approaches, a few new Pokemon are revealed, but in lesser amounts, possibly including the first starter evolutions.
October: Games are released, CoroCoro showcases Sugimori artwork of the various Gen 6 Pokemon, Gym Leaders, etc. over the next few issues, save for the event Pokemon at the end of the Pokedex for future movies.
November and beyond: Back to basics, we play the games, talk about them, brag about our teams, the usual stuff.
@Robo-Floatzel; I think they'd at least reveal the region's name. As that's what they did for Gen V as far as I'm able to recall.
Were the player characters revealed in the first B/W Corocoro scoop? I remember that's how it was for B/W 2, but I'm blanking on B/W.
@Facebook; or "PokeEurope" either for that matter.
Love the artwork!
The legendaries look even more awesome in that.
The artwork is something to admire.
Still going with Yveltal, but I'm happy that all those picking Xerneas aren't getting short-changed.
Wow wasn't expecting it to be out this early :)
Sweet Poke-Jesus Yveltal is awesome.
Both look terrific, but Yveltal is easily my favorite. It is a bird, big, red and black and reminds of Yatagarasu. Awesome.
Surprised to see that the typings aren't listed. Oh well. I guess we'll just have to wait on that one. The art is still really nice, though Xerneus looks a little skinny to me.
