I hope that events get replaced with DLC dungeons.

I just got my 3DS XL Pikachu limited ed the other week. It's left me freakin broke for like a year, but totally worth it. It's adorable <333 and the screen, holy heck, talk about cinematic! I cannot wait to play pokemon on this thing.
Hmm, what am I looking forward to most? I guess that'd be downloadable content. I love how easily this little thing connects to the internet and basically takes care of itself via downloads. It's so smooth, and I found the Nintendo E shop REALLY easy to use when I browsed it the other day (and I'm usually crap at using things for the first time, so yay).
It was AMAZING watching the XY trailer on my actual games console. I wanted to cry ;___;
I breed egg move pokes & DW females.
I'm most excited about StreetPass, but I don't imagine DLC being used at all.
Having DLC would nullify the entire point of "Third Versions", and it can only be included if Gamefreak decides to go with Sequels again, which I don't see happening.

It's a toss-up between spot-pass and DLC to keep hidden features hidden, and Miiverse integration to build up the community.
Stop censoring yourself! That was a great idea! You shouldn't have hit the Backspace button in your mind! Write it down anyway!
I like the 3D gameplay the most, especially transfering my extra black and white pokemon (non legendaries), when I get the national pokedex. :D
I love the fact that now we can have it 3D. I'll just turn it off whenever i use Flash or Signal Beam in battle.
What I am hoping for is for Game freak to release an app for the 3DS which allows you to transfer all your Pokemon from Black/White and Black 2/White 2 to the 'Pokemon box app' and then be able to transfer them to Pokemon Xand Y. It would make things easier and then we wouldn't need to purchase a second 3DS to transfer them.
I'm not sure if this idea will end up happening or not, and I'm willing to purchase another 3DS if I need to, however, I think an idea like this would be very beneficial to Pokemon fans.
Please no.
As great of an idea as that is, which I do actually certainly think so otherwise, not everyone has the means of going to the eShop and purchasing apps. I certainly don't have the means since my house lacks WiFi and the local places have some pretty shitty WiFi. Basically, I'm stuck with no WiFi. So if transferring was exclusive to a downloadable app, I would be screwed. And I know that I'm not the only one without WiFi access.

This, oh god this so much! And no more crappy mini games to transfer them. And for the people with out wifi perhaps a way to still do it with two ds's?
Honestly I'm just giddy for miiverse functionality on the 3ds and with this game. Staring at people's art is one of the few redeeming qualities of my wii u right now.
The idea I had wasn't intended to be the ONLY option to transferring Pokemon from one game to another, just an alternative. What I feel they should do is continue using two 3DS' to trade from one game to another directly for those who do not have wifi and is unable to trade any other way, but also have the idea I gave for those who do not want or cannot purchase a second 3DS, or have an available second 3DS to trade Pokemon from one game to another.
This way everyone would be able to trade all their Pokemon over, whether you have a second 3DS or not.
Also, while I'm on the subject of trading, I really hope they create a faster way to transfer Pokemon not only from one generation to the next, but also game to game. Each generation brings so many more Pokemon and it is starting to get a little ridiculous how long it takes just to transfer Pokemon from one generation to a newer one. It also takes even longer when trading from one game to another, as you have to capture hundreds of wild Pokemon just to use them to trade with the hundreds of Pokemon you have on the other game. We need a fast way to transfer Pokemon to any game we like almost instantly, and without having to capture hundreds of wild Pokemon, because catching all those wild Pokemon and then spending all that time trading them, just takes way too long. We NEED a faster way to transfer Pokemon.
The current way to poketransfer from 4th to 5th gen is to use 2 DS consoles, something that not every fan has access to. But Nintendo made it that way because they knew that if they did, lots of fans would go out and get one. Hell, I not only went out of my way to get wifi for the 4th gen, I'm one of the suckers who bought a second DS system to transfer my old 'mons even though I could scarcely afford it.
Basically if something's going to make you say 'oh darn I don't have that, I need it for a better gaming experience, better get out my wallet' they'll likely do it. I feel your pain, but sadly Gamefreak/Nintendo/Pokemon Company don't care if you're screwed because you can't access something - they just wanna torture you enough till you break, and pay to access it. This makes me think that some form of DLC, even if it's for other things than for poketransferring, will be present in these games.
I breed egg move pokes & DW females.
The person before responded to me that Gamefreak could have always allowed the option of both. App for those without two systems, regular Poketransfer for those who do. I did not really need a response that frankly, comes off to me as rude.
As to why I can't access Wifi, it is not a matter of money.

Here's some things I think they could use 3DS features for:
-Bring back the Trainer House or some similar facility for Streetpass. You would pre-register a team for this before you go out, and when you tag another person through Streetpass, the team would be sent for them to battle, and theirs would be sent for you to battle.
-Event Pokemon and daily item/Pokemon handouts are the only thing I can think of for Spotpass. -AR battling. Like with Pokedex 3D, you can print out/draw QR codes to display your Pokemon using the AR viewer. But now, you can use them for battling. When you battle someone over wireless, you can use the QR cards to display your Pokemon as they battle it out in IRL environments. You could also record them with Vs. Recorder.
-DLC expansion packs. This could really extend the life of the games once the excitement wears off. They could develop new areas for the game, maybe a few new cities, several new routes, some dungeons, etc. and they would be full of (past gen) Pokemon not catchable anywhere else in the game (including a few legendaries), new trainers, items, etc. to flesh out the areas, and maybe even a mini storyline. They could also apply the same principle to event Pokemon areas on a smaller scale, instead of some desolate island of nothing else to do in the middle of nowhere, you would have to progress through at the very least a full area with other Pokemon, trainers, or what have you.
