If this was yugioh you would putting pokemon in piles and waiting for something to fly out of another dimension.
Xyz Monster - Yu-Gi-Oh!
I'm simply saying that fusion is an unnatural process like someone said in a previous post. Kyurem could fuse with redshiram and zekrom because their DNAs are related.
I'm aware. I'm taking a crack at the people who still say fusion is a Yu-gi-oh thing, as you're not going to see any current deck other than heroes or possibly gem-knights try and fuse. You could say Chaos Dragons did with future fusion before it got banned (painful choice.continuous spell too stronk), but that's a stretch.
I just noticed I haven't submitted my own idea: pokemon that evolve either based off of seasons or weather. We have had pokemon affected by it before, but not to the point that it drives an evolution.
Re: New method of evolution?
I wish they would start by simplifying some of the old methods of evolution - would anyone really care if a Leaf Stone suddenly started working on Eevee to make Leafeon rather than the moss rock?
I just hope that if any more branched evolutions, baby Pokemon or third stages are added to existing Pokemon, they don't worry as much about the logic of why it didn't happen in the past generations - I'd hate to see gimmicky ways of evolving Pokemon just so they can claim consistency between versions.
I'd like to see a few Pokemon evolve by having minimum happiness levels and Pokemon that start as a dual type and then have a branched evolution to a single type - something like evolving after using the 100th move of one of the types, would be especially good combined with mid-battle evolutions if they were added.

Don't we already have this because when slowpoke levels up to 37 it evolves into Slowbro or Slowking when traded holding a King's Rock. w
The point is that currently the Shelder comes from nowhere. What I'm suggesting is that you need to have a seperate Shelder merge into it, and then aspects of the Shelder get transferred to Slowbro/Slowking.

They did this in Generation IV with Lickilicky and Mamoswine, where Lickitung and Piloswine could have Rollout and AncientPower, respectively, in both Generation II and III.
Re: New method of evolution?
The EV evolution thing is actually possible. For example, they did make us increase Feebas' beauty stat. EV training can be hard for a few people, but it seems to be the perfect method for evolution.
...I don't particularly like fusions in-game. Black Kyurem looks like as if Kyurem cannibalized Zekrom/Reshiram.
Re: New method of evolution?
Fusions evolutions have been happening since gen 1. They just didn't have developed enough game mechanics back then to make it work. Magnemite, Koffing, Slowpoke (x2), Beldum, and Metang all evolve by merging with other pokemon. The closest thing we ever got to a fusion evolution was probably the way Mantyke evolves. It's not gonna be like Digimon or YuGiOh because they know how to make it work. They wouldn't implement something like Black/White Kyurem on regular pokemon. You aren't gonna mash a Charmander with a Bulbasaur and get a flaming plant monsters. It'll be clever ways of doing it like they've had from the start. You people are looking at it so narrowmindedly having been influenced by other series that you can't see what's been in front of your face for over 15 years. I honestly would love it if they changed the evolution method of the above listed pokemon. I think it would be very refreshing. Getting two Metangs to make a Metagross may be a bitch, but it's a strong pokemon. There would exist the issue though of balancing out stats or determining natures or abilities for all but Slowpoke really, which is why I don't think those would become fusion evolutions, or that they may never implement it. I haven't fully played around with BW2 postgame yet. For Kyurem did it just keep its nature and what have you?
I cannot see them doing anything on the other end of the friendship spectrum for evolution. It's just not pokemon. It's a cool concept, but not one they would want to implement in a pokemon game.
And having some sort of stat dependent evolution I also would not see working out well. EV stuff is thrown in for fans that like the metagame shit, but the majority of kids playing couldn't give a shit. Hell a large portion of adults playing aren't playing for that aspect either. It would be a hard thing for kids to understand that they have to battle hella fucking Geodudes just to get something to evolve quicker. Again, a nice concept, but not one they would incorporate into a game targeted at children. There are plenty of goodies thrown in post game for people who care enough about EVs, they'll leave it out of the pokedex.
Re: New method of evolution?
An evolution where the Pokémon Evolves after defeating a certain number of a specific Type, like a Grass Type that evolves after defeating 25 or so Fire Type Pokémon. I could see happening.

Exp. Share or throwing a pokemon in the first slot and then switching it out would make that moot.
