I want Kingler to be able to learn Waterfall. It has a great Attack stat but at the moment the only physical Water type moves it has access to are Dive (takes two turns to use) and Crabhammer, which it learns at level 56!

I recently came to think of it, but I think the reason why a lot of flying and Flying-type Pokemon can't learn Fly is because Fly is first and foremost an attack, where the Pokemon launches itself at its target. The HM use of it is only secondary, and when you think of it, that doesn't make any sense at all. I mean, this means that knowing an attack = you can fly. Ridiculous! Winged/floating etc Pokemon can naturally fly anyway. They don't have to use a move to do that.

My god, they need to get rid of HMs.

I'm pretty sure that a Butterfree could Fly into the air and launch itself at the target.

Agreed. I don't understand why it can't learn Waterfall.

Basically every pokemon can produce their toxin, since every pokemon can learn Toxic, lmao. That fact wouldn't justify it for Umbreon. On the other hand, I don't exactly see how Gliscor can use that either though.

I wish that some dumb redundancies with pokemon not being able to learn moves that they obviously should to be fixed - like Garchomp not being able to use Razor wind.

Even weirder, the Japanese name is far more specific...basically "excessive poison".

In general I think way more Fire-types should learn Scald.

Rotom's fan form could do with Hurricane. Fan form only gets stuck with Air Slash, which is underpowered compared to the other elemental moves it learns from swapping form.

Flareon is begging for Flare Blitz.

On the subject of Hurricane, perhaps Lugia should get it. Lugia's various Pokedex entries state it can blow apart houses with flaps of it wings, and in most media it's portrayed in conjunction with storms, so it'd make sense it gets Hurricane.

I would like all the fully evolved grass starters to learn Earth Power. Also there needs to be a better Grass special attack to match Flamethrower and Surf (95 bp and 100 accuracy, no side effects).

I don't think the Japanese associate dragonflies with dragons like the English name does, so probably not.

Zapdos needs Hurricane. Now.

I want to see more pokemon with the special abilities Drought, Drizzle and Snow Warning. Just 'cuz they are useful.

And Spiritomb needs to learn thunderbolt. Basically for the sole reason that Gangar can and that makes no more sense than it being able too. Besides, Spiritomb has a small move pool anyway. It's basically an evil spirit possessing a rock so it should be able to use a bunch of rock and ground type moves like stone edge and earthquake, in my opinion.
