Thread: (Mod Note: Read First Post! Updated 6/1/13) Game Freak "expanding Pokémon world"

The only reason I bought a Wii U was for a new Pokemon battling game, A new Mario Kart and New SSB. But I love the game pad for it.

Well, with the announcement less than half a day away, I think I'll try to avoid speculating anything else so I don't get disappointed later on.

And since the announcement will be at around 5 A.M. my time, I'm just gonna wait until I'm on here to find out what the announcement really is.

I haven't really speculated to get my hopes up. When I speculate, I basically dump my thoughts about what it's about.

Is it possible, to go beyond a normal Generation? To ascend to the next level?

't mean to burst anyone's bubble but I seriously doubt that the announcement for tomorrow will be about Generation VI. There are still unavailable Pokemon in Generation V as well as Pokemon that are unobtainable with their Dream World abilities. I don't think there will be any main games for Generation V, though. The story is pretty much done and due to the fact that transferring Pokemon from Gen III is still possible, I also highly doubt Ruby/Sapphire remakes. I put my money on a spin-off game that will enable transfer of Pokemon unobtainable in Generation V. And there will probably be more time for release of more Dream World Pokemon before Gen VI.

There's too much hype and buildup to have the announcement be such a letdown like that. But I guess it's just opinion based on what you think, this is my opinion on your opinion I guess.

I seriously doubt it will be a spin off, Masuda dosent just go crazy tweeting about being so excited he cant sleep and begging people to get their friends to watch it for some spin off, Game Freak dosent even make spin offs at all.

Not for Japan, all the event Pokémon have been distributed and revealed.

Non-Japanese countries however are still missing Meloetta (at least the United States is)

But they don't care about that. I remember when 4th gen had 3 event items that could be distributed to get Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus, and Nintendo did not care about any of that until Platinium. And even then the Pokémon themselves were only gotten through distribution. Only remember Dakrai and Shaymin being gotten by event items. Arceus I don't recall getting the Azure flute at all.

Game Freak makes the main series games, other companies are in charge of spin offs.

Look up the various spinoff games on Bulbapedia, you'll see that they're made by other companies instead of GameFreak. GameFreak merely handles the main series games.

It didn't and people would get POed because it was impossible to fully EV train the TRU one. Plus there was that awesome glitch to get Shaymin and Darkrai in the Japanese DP games.

That's what I'm saying, it's not going to be a spin-off announcement because Game Freak aren't involved with spin-offs.

That's only the fault of you guys. There's a fair amount of hype actually from the people involved, but the "too much" is coming entirely from fans getting their hopes up.
