Thread: (Mod Note: Read First Post! Updated 6/1/13) Game Freak "expanding Pokémon world"

In 10 minutes, I'd be surprised if there's no trailer of the game. Plus, what's the point of having an audiovisual announcement to just "prepare" the audience for the real announcement? If anything, they did just that by making us wait for January 8th. This is the real deal, folks.

Funny, that's not the countdown for the Direct, no? Seeing how that airs in about 19-20 hours, at least according to everything else I've seen.

Also, I will be disappointed if Iwata doesn't hold a Cherubi.

Satoru Iwata will probably be holding some kind of berry.

So it's possible we're getting a trailer if it's 10 minutes, I can't see them stretching out a worded announcement for 10 minutes without shedding some details.

So this is almost confirmed Gen VI practically, since its really 10 minutes I don't see how they'll NOT show the box legendaries as well as a trailer. I can't believe that in less then 20 Hours we could have new Pokemon.

If they show the box legends I hope they are not dragon types unless they are types that we haven't had with dragons yet(Poison and grass being examples)

I want Big Cat Legends tbh, these Dragons are getting a BIT old.

10 minutes is a long time, but I'm sure that it's going to feel like the shortest 10 minutes of this past week. I'll be hanging on every syllable out of Iwata or Masuda's mouths. Hopefully they're both extremely thorough, because I could see them becoming vague throughout. Wow, I'm excited. Alarm set!

I'm so excited, I feel sick. They can't possibly troll us with a Wii U game now!

EDIT: Does anyone else think that if the announcement is simultaneous, then the release dates might be? or at least very, very close together.

Hopefully they do some Pokedex AR stunt with a higher res camera and give us something like Iwata with a pikachu on his lap or something.
