Thread: (Mod Note: Read First Post! Updated 6/1/13) Game Freak "expanding Pokémon world"

Masuda and Morimoto in one ep, announcement on the 8th. This is certainly shaping up to be a beast of unworldly proportions for hype deflation if this amounts to nothing.

If this is trolling then they sure are masters at it, but I really cannot think of many other reasons to have this announcement unless its actually important. I said before that we'd only get a game announcement if we're lucky, but now it seems very likely.

But I wonder what exactly would they be announcing? A silhouette? Star of the 16th movie? Titles of the new games? Can't wait nonetheless.

The star of the 16th movie will likely be revealed in February, since thats when the main star is uaually revealed but it would be interesting to see a new Pokemon that was unrelated. This certainly seems important with both Masuda and Morimoto appearing. I am just hoping we get something good.

Oh anyone else notice Masuda is appearing on January 6th. When he could be confirming Gen 6. ;)

When do we usually get game titles, anyway? And don't we usually get at least a couple new Pokemon revealed before the titles? Not saying I don't think this is the Gen 6 confirmation we've all been waiting for, just that it might not be the titles yet. Not that it really matters- confirmation is confirmation- but hey.

Mewtwo, Pichu and a whole slew of hijinks on Smash and what not already gave em the name Trollfreak. This is just the epitome of it, cause lets be honest it could all be coincidence, like the few times, when not only was smash giving some news, but 2-3 other Nintendo sources had stuff going on at the same time. Of course those were a bit stretching it but hell when it comes to Pokemon you have to think like this otherwise it makes no sense.

16th movie star i next month no doubt about that, its as planned. As for game names, if any, that would be in April/May.

Considering how Generations are a bit fanon, its just a coincidence.

Junichi Masuda has confirmed that Shigeki Morimoto, Game Freak's game designer and programmer, will appear on Pokémon Smash (Jan 6 episode).

Whoa..if the game designer from Game Freak will also be appearing on the show then it's got to be REALLY important!

Funny how the other announcement will be made 2 days after Pokemon Smash. I guess Pokemon Smash will beat them to the punch. :P

This is kinda off topic but this is my first time witnessing the introduction to a new generation does anyone knows what they usually reveal when their announcing a new gen?

I'd love a Pokémon Garnet Version...but after BW, I don't want to put my money on anything that concrete.

Usually, a new Pokémon is revealed in February, with games revealed around April/May. This is happening pretty early (I guess because TPC and Nintendo want a 2013 western release too?).

Or they will massively c**kblock us by showing the sillouhette of a Pokémon and later announcing the Pokémon two days later. Zoroark was shown as a silhouette four days before Corocoro leaked(which means it really wasn't that far way from the actual release of the magazine, in fact, its Amazon release date was 15th September, 9 days after Smash.). I am more optimistic about this though.

Serebii has said that Masuda and Morimoto will be on the show in relation to a Smash Host Tournament or something.

8th January is still fair game though.

Which should have been obvious to anyone who was actually paying attention to the tweets.

They could still foreshadow the announcement, though.
