I think Xerneas will be Psychic/Steel or pure Psychic and Yveltal will be Dark/Flying or Psychic/Flying

I love the idea of Yveltal being Dark/Flying, but I will most likely pick em either way.

I just want to share somthing I noticed about Xerneas (X) and Yveltal (Y) with you guys. Now I may be just ovelooking things here but this may possibly have a bit of significance, well I noticed in the trailer that when they show Y it's body actually is Y shaped but come X the X is actually in it's eyes. But on to the second Y seems to radiate light from within the inside of its body but X seems to radiate light from without with its horns. Also some people have been saying that X has one blue and one red eye and that it may be the same for Y. I don't really know but what do you guys think about this?

Idk about the mismatched eyes, since they pan out before we can see their other eye, but Xerneas forms an stylized X with its horns and legs, as for the light, I always thought both were the sun.

Xerneas can still shape its body into an X, it just needs to stand with its legs spread out. We may see that at some point, we may not. It's still a possibility the X is not only in the eyes.

maybe Xerneas will form an X when threatened or attacking. sort of taking a stance

I saw a post on tumblr that compared Yveltal to one of these:



A red bearded vulture. I can certainly see some similarity, and if it is based on a vulture it would also explain why Yveltal reminded me of Mandibuzz when I first saw it.

I don't see why Xernias needs to have an X-shaped body to match Yveltal's Y-shaped one., really. Can't one of them have a more subtle connection to the letter theme than the other?

I'm gonna point something out:

If you look closely at Xernias, the blue portion on it's front splits, forming a, sort of, X shape with the antlers.

Above: Not a bad find at all. I would think that the whole blue part by itself is a stylised "X" if you look hard enough.

As for Xerneas and Yveltal's names, I quite like it. Perhaps the reason a pronunciation guide was included was because of Arceus. All I'm hoping for is that they at least have a Pokédex 3D version of these guys so I can practice their names more...

Meanwhile, I've been reading the theories and all I know for sure is that, whatever they are, they'll be awesome.
