Thread: Ideas for Gen VI Pokemon

I'm hoping for a fire/rock type event legendary with an alternate form.

Gen 4 had Shaymin Grass/Flying
Gen 5 had Keldeo Water/fighting
Gen 6 needs to complete this triangle

Drook Metal sapien with claws pun on Drone and mook tends to be henchmen has two evolutions

I'd like to see an Ice type based on an arctic wolf. It would start out as a cute little pup and evolve into something you really wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of.

Well, we're in France for GVI (jeez, can Nintendo release a region name please?), so I think it'd be neat if we had French-inspired Pokemon. Perhaps we could get a Steel/Water type that looks like a cross between a nautilus and a submarine, for example, to pay homage to Jules Verne.

And perhaps we could get a Dark/Normal that looks like a Orangutan, to pay homage to "Murders in the Rue Morgue"? Or a Pokemon that plays off the Beast of Gevaudan?

Sadly, there can't be a Three Musketeers pokemon... that's already been done.

Also, I went to Bolivia last month and picked some ideas, maybe not for this Gen but for a future. For example, in a city there are three hills nicknamed (after their shape) Condor, Frog and Snake. That could make a trio, maybe legendary, maybe not. Same for the three sacred Inca animals; cougar, llama and condor.

Ah, and France's national animal is a MUST: a Rooster pokémon

Talking about France and Steel/Water, Empoleon would've a great fit for this gen. But, as the Musketeers, it's already done.

A Grass Type - Maybe just a common plant
A Normal Type /herbivore - A goat
A Normal Type /carnivore - A feline
A Poison Type /decomposer - A worm
A Dark-Type /scavenger - A hyena/buzzard

Ghost/Steel? I can only think of a Pokémon resembling Durarara's Dullahan with this type.

They could make a Pokémon based on the Hunchback of Notre-Dame, that'd be cool right?

I do get the reference, but I was thinking more of its armor, if it had an armor,of course.

An Egyptian cat Pokemon that evolves into a feminine humanoid cat based on the ancient Egyptian goddess Bastet.

I'd really like to see a Water/Fire type based on a fish with characteristics of a teapot/kettle.

That would be great! I'd like some Pokemon based on mythological gods/creatures in any case. Cerberus, Zeus (in ox form perhaps?), Anubis (Jackal)...so many different things to choose from.

there are a number of potentially bug themes i'd hoping might pop in this gen. :)

a full caterpillar > pupae > beetle line [bug/rock,fighting,steel,ground or even ice]
a new wasp[bug/dark or poison]
a themed scarab [bug/rock]
an electric type lightning bug [electric bug], evo of illumise?
a fire type fire fly [fire/bug], evo of volbeat?
a maggot > fly [bug, bug/flying]
a mosquito [psychic/bug]
some sort of water beetle or heck even a shrimp [for water/bug]
earth worm [ground/bug]
a tick [ew]
a weevil
a horsefly [gimmick pokemon? normal/bug?]
