Thread: New Episode Titles--the first gym battle and the debut of Team Aqua!

Right off Palette:

015: "Kanazumi JIMU! Nozupasu no Himitsuheiki!!"
(Rustboro Gym! Nosepass's Secret Weapon!!)

016: "Debon KOOPOREESHON! AKUA-Dan no Kage!!"
(Debon Corporation! The Shadow of Team Aqua!!)

017: "Hagi-Roujin to Kyamome no Piiko-chan!"
(Old Man Hagi and Piiko-chan the Wingull!)

Well, Satoshi/Ash-tachi finally reach the first gym. It's interesting to think that it took Satoshi five episodes to reach his first gym, but it's taking Haruka three times that to get to her's. The next episode, featuring the Debon Corporation (which is basically the Silph Co. of Ruby/Sapphire) should be interesting since the other evil group of Houen makes its debut. Episode 17 looks to be interesting, as helping Hagi get his beloved Piiko-chan back is the start of getting to the next gym badge. Good, non-filler stuff here...

I know this much: I want to see what Nozupasu looks like in the anime. I want to see it bad. Maybe when it airs, someone will be kind enough to provide me with some screenshots? Maybe a video of the full ep.?

one thing I'm really wondering is, do you think Haruka will battle for the badge as well? I know early on she said something like she didn;t really want to be a pokemon trainer, all she wanted to do was travel around, but in AG 03 she received a gym badge case from her parants so......? I hope she does, gym battles could be even cooler now if both Haruka and Ash get to battle for badges

I think it would be nice if she did, but that would really be cramming a lot into an episode. They have to have the introduction of Tsutsuji/Roxanne, Takeshi/Brock has to fall for her (after all, she IS a rock-type trainer ), they have to establish the whole gym leader system of Houen, they have to have the battle, Nosepass has to use its "Secret Weapon," and Satoshi/Ash has to win the badge. Trying to cram in a battle with Haruka might be stretching it a bit.

I assumed they would meet her and establish most of that in next weeks episode "study, pokemon trainers school" after all, in the game the first gym leader owns a pokemon school. its Likely that Ash-tachi could meet the gym leader and give her some characterization in the next episode, and then devote the episode after to just battling. Your typical two part "introduce the gym leader, then battle" like with the Pryce episodes

I was telling it to people. The Advanced generation would be a new direction. I knew it.

WEll, I think that there are much more than 8 Houen gyms (unless otherwise stated in the series itself). Back when Gary has a trainer, he had gym badges from other Kanto Gyms...

...came to a water Gym, which was one extra than the other 8 gyms aforementioned (I know, it wasn't an OFFICIAL gym, but still, you see my point).



I don't think Hakura's going to challene Roxanne, but she'll use this time to get hyped up about training from Ash's battle with her to get his first Houen Badge.
