While I believe that they can work, I have a hard time trying them out. Especially since I dated someone at a much closer distance.

I was in a relationship over the phone for a while. After a while, though, I got scared that I wouldn't ever see her in the flesh again, and I got obsessive. I think that scared her. So we ended it.

In short, maybe long-distance relationships work for some people. But not for me.

YouTube projects advertised are in early development and subject to change.

Nowadays technology makes long distance easier I think, but it also depends on your relationship style. If you are a more physical person or visual it makes it more difficult.

Love knows no mortal restrictions or boundaries.

Anything can work out with enough love and passion in it.

10 months 17 days and I have yet to cheat or even consider it. Considering the opinions of many of the people in this thread who have stated that long distance relationships are possible, I think that laughing and declaring them unworkable is a bit ungrounded. Sure, it makes it easier to cheat, but if you're an honest person in an honest relationship, why would you want to cheat? Not everyone in the world is an asshole when it comes to relationships.

Adding on to what Ryuu said, there's a chance one or even both parties will cheat in any relationship, and the relationship being long distance doesn't change that at all. I've been in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend for over two years now and we are extremely faithful to each other. Basically it's just silly to make fun of long distance relationships for reasons that also apply to regular relationships. It all comes down to the people involved, not what kind of relationship it is.

No. Unless the two really dig each other, it can't work, methinks.

I didn't believe it could work, until I got into one myself. XD

They work out for some people. It did NOT work out for me. It SUCKED. He constantly worried about other guys hitting on me, insisted we skype every night, and was generally very controlling. That relationship was a nightmare.

It's worked for me for 2 months. It depends on who's in the relationship. Not how far apart the two are. If the two love each other enough, it can definitely work out. And when you do see each other, it makes it so much better. Trust me.

yes they can work. but you need trust and money if you ever plan on seeing each other in person.

If you met the person on the internet, then no, that sort of long distance relationship wouldn't be a good idea. Why? Well...

On youtube, there was a particular individual who believed that he was dating a high school girl. It turned out to be a middle-aged man pretending to be one.

Unless you meet the person in real life...it wouldn't be a good idea.
