I'd like to stress the idea to not use reddit as a news source. They are not credible at all, and any facts they get right are wild guesses or lifted (read: usually stolen) from proper journalism outlets. In fact, here's a general guideline, though by no means a solid rule in this forum or this thread:
Xkeeper: rules for crisis news watching:
Xkeeper: - ignore reddit
Xkeeper: - ignore 4chan
Xkeeper: - ignore twitter
Xkeeper: - ignore media
Xkeeper: - ignore everything
Xkeeper: - the local PD and official statementsPretty much none. There were no whispers, no murmurs, no threats. Security was pretty lax around the event as a whole. Really, the race coordinators and later emergency responders did more to ensure the safety of the runners and spectators than the so called security. What efforts were made to mitigate this kind of event?
