I have no idea why that guy doesn't shave that caterpillar off of his face. I guess Chile doesn't have the same stereotype of creeperstache=pedo. I really liked seeing the gray haired dude on rings. In a sport so dominated by youth it's great to see someone hanging in well past when others in the sport have stopped.

Archery is serious business in South Korea. They have good coaching and have built a large talent pool. They actually train before football games begin in order to help build their focus.

Fun fact: take the head of a push pin and extend it at arms length. That's what an archery target looks like for elite archers.

One of the most succesful south korean archers is almost blind, which I find absolutely amazing, apparently the target is a blur. The BBC even rendomly showed us how the target would look for him by blurring the camera lens! Good old BBC :L

I wish I had more opportunities to watch events live. The only access to a live stream is on NBC's crappy site and I'm never on my computer at that time. I've missed ton of events that I wanted to see. Like archery. :(

Taekwondo is 3 am here , so I'm willing to stay up and watch that today.

I hope I can catch the USA vs Japan Women's football game Thursday.

Is everyone enjoying the Olympics? I'm British so i feel somewhat responsible for everything that is happening And what did you all make of the opening ceremony? Did you Americans, Australians and what ever else-ians enjoy it?

Today I've been watching the showjumping and BMX. So glad Ireland finally got it's first medal today, even if it was only a bronze

I'm going to see the Olympics tomorrow morning; athletics actually. Not looking forward to waking up at ten to five though. x)

It's amazing the support that Katie Taylor has received here. Coming home earlier, every radio station was talking about the fight before during and after for several hours and several roads were closed near to her hometown to accommodate the huge crowds. Without any bias, I think she can go the full way.

What I have loved about the Olympics is how most Brits, who are usually quite critical of America, despite most Americans viewing us as a valued friend, are now all getting behind USA and cheering them on hoping they overtake China.

I've been to see the equestrian, the tennis, the mens volleyball (court and beach) and the womans hurdles (I saw and spoke to the south African and kenyan athletics team who trained next door to where I work. Thats how I got the tickets for them)

I saw the Olympic Women's Wrestling Tournament in the ExCeL Arena in London today (Thursday). I will also see an Olympic Men's Football Match in the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff tomorrow (Friday).

Carli Lloyd, who scored both goals for the US in the gold medal soccer match, went to my undergrad college! And another player, Heather O'Reilly, went to my high school and my gym locker was across from hers!


I wish I could be in London for the Olympics. I went there three years ago and it's one of my favorite cities in the world.
