In order for anyone to win, you must survive to endgame. It applies to the town, as they have to eliminate the mafia, and the mafia, by making it impossible for the town to win. Obviously, you don't win if you die in-game (unless you are the fool and you have to get lynched to win) or you lose the opportunity to fulfill your win condition. In my case, I'm just like a vanilla townie, but I'm surviving for myself.

You're claiming cryptically. Just come out with it: are you, or are you not an Independent Survivor? You're softclaiming it, but I'd like you to explicitly state it if you're going to claim so you can't go back on yourself later for whatever reason.
