It was those thoughts that kept Thomas Arclight going, intent on seeing things through for his brother’s sake. He wouldn’t falter as Chris had done; of that much he would make certain.
He had alliances that contained both people he knew and trusted – such as his father and Ryoga – as well as some others he had met since arriving here. Numbers were on his side. The scarred duelist paced the room, back and forth… mind alternating between thoughts of his brother and of what to do at this very moment.
So close… So close…
“I don’t want you to do anything rash,” his father urged. “I know it’s tempting, but being reckless would – “
“ – You really think I’d be that stupid?” Thomas snapped back. At the words ‘rash’ and ‘reckless,’ old memories of the World Duel Carnival were brought back to the surface of his thoughts, a painful reminisce of the lack of trust Byron placed in his middle son. Things were different now, Thomas knew, but he was on edge. “You wouldn’t be telling Chris that, and look who was the one who most needed to hear it.”
A pause.
“…That is irrelevant right now,” the blonde finally replied, much quieter than before. “I just don’t want to lose you as well…”
Thomas held back a retort, realizing that he’d gone a bit far. Still… sitting idle didn’t appeal to him. Not at this stage.
He waited until later, after everyone had gone to sleep.
Either he would finally put an end to all this, and avenge Mihael… or he would soon join him. Though he would put up a good fight regardless, the more he thought about it, the less horrible the latter seemed.
His confrontation with one of the other remaining duelists ended in a defeat, despite the close match. He faded away in a mixture of anger – both at himself and the enemy – sadness, and oddly enough, a sense of relief. The brothers were once more reunited.
When Byron woke up, he was completely alone.

I never watched much of the Atlantis Arc, but I knew Dartz was evil - I mean, I didn't know if you guys would believe me if I said I was Dartz and a member of the town. I honestly haven't watched that far into Zexal - I just started the World Duel Carnival arc, and just got introduced to Tron for like what - I don't think even a minute. I didn't even know he was evil until you mentioned it.
