By the time everyone awakened, the sun had risen once more, but it did not bring with it an air of peace. The suspicions that were prevented from being voiced before were now ringing loud and clear in everyone’s ears, striking like daggers into the accused.
In any other situation, it might have been comical. That there stood such a proud, strongly-built champion locked in a heated exchange with – who appeared to be, anyway – one of the youngest duelists present was a strange sight, but it was met with no amusement.
“Nobody can provide any clue as to your whereabouts during the night he went missing,” the shorter firmly stated, referring to the long-gone Judai.
“I’m supposed to have somebody watching me every second now, is that it?” The short-tempered man in the striking white overcoat was beyond angry, but not even just with this argument; he was furious with himself. Realizing that there was hardly a way out of this discussion short of leaving, he abruptly turned away and marched out.
As the masked child prepared to follow after him, a boy with vibrant green eyes placed a hand on his shoulder, as if to urge the other to stay.
“Please, don’t… I don’t want you to disappear again… After what happened to Judai, I’m afraid that if you go out there…” His sentence trailed as his words had a noticeable effect, the younger nodding in understanding.
“I’ll go find him,” another said as he started to run after the wayward duelist.
Taro knew Jack from the WRGP. Could he really have done something to Judai? It seemed unlikely, but he had to find out. Finally catching up to the former Duel King, he called out to him, hoping to find out some answers.
Instead, he was greeted with a duel anchor wrapping around his wrist, forcing a duel. A bit shaken, he nonetheless met the challenge, believing that it was possible to discern emotions and a person’s inner thoughts through a duel. However, with his deck comprised of weak, low-level normal monsters, he would have to hope he could hold out long enough to summon his ace, Zushin…
It took only eight turns for Red Dragon Archfiend to tear through Taro’s subpar defenses completely. Twelve turns too few for the sleeping giant to awaken.
Jack watched as the kind-hearted duelist from the country disappeared just as Judai had.
Poyo, you are...
Taro Yamashita - Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s
The leader of Team Taiyo, you are a member of the underdog team in the WRGP. Being from the countryside, you and your friends had no D-Wheel or Duel Monsters cards, but were able to build a D-Wheel together, in addition to creating a deck comprised of Normal Monsters, which are normally considered weak. Your trump card is Zushin the Sleeping Giant, which you were able to finally summon during the match against Team 5D’s, being the first person to successfully do so.
Just as Zushin requires a low level normal monster to survive many turns in order to be summoned, you have an ability that rewards survival. If you can survive to Day 5, you will gain one vig-kill to be used during any night phase you chose. After receiving notification that you have received vigilante powers, send a PM with the title “Night X Vig Kill – USER” to kill that player.
You are allied with TOWN. You win when all mafia members have been eliminated.
Good luck, and have fun!
Poyo was night-killed. They were Taro Yamashita, allied with TOWN.
As Jack headed back to the others, a voice filled with bitterness spoke to him from the shadows created by surrounding trees.
“People like you disgust me. What you did to Judai… I will make sure you are brought to justice.”
In no time at all, the former Duel King had fallen from his throne as the name “Carly…” softly escaped his lips.
KidBeano, you are...
Jack Atlas - Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s
The former Duel King of Neo Domino City, you are one of Yusei’s closest friends, having grown up with him in Satellite. With your Wheel of Fortune D-Wheel and signature Red Demon’s Dragon, you are a force to be reckoned with. Though you lost your title as King to Yusei, you become a member of Team 5D’s with him, as one of three riders in the WRGP, in addition to being a Signer. Eventually, you are able to utilize the power of Burning Soul, paralleling Yusei’s ability to Accel Synchro. Your deck focuses on a powerful offensive, matching your confident personality.
Believing that a good offense is key in duels, you have the power of a strongman. During a night phase, send a PM with the title “Night X Strong Kill – USER” to bypass doctor protection and kill that player. This will, however, count as the mafia’s night kill, and after the first usage, the success rate will continually decrease by 50%.
You are allied with MAFIA. You win when mafia equals or outnumbers the amount of town members.
Good luck, and have fun!
KidBeano has died. He was Jack Atlas, allied with MAFIA.
It is now DAY 4. This phase will end on November 9th, at 10:00 PM EST. You may now vote.
