Re: Warriors Mafia (Day 7: Family Struggles) [Vote!]
Something Has Happened!
The day was warmer than it had been in previous days. The Clans had been worn from the fighting with the Dark Forest, but slowly their dark forces seemed to be diminishing. Jayfeather missed the voice of the Yellowfang constantly scolding his actions, but in a sense, if it weren’t for her constant nagging, he would never have developed his new sense of perspective over his duties to the Clans and his role in the prophecy. He had learned a lot from her, and all the cats of StarClan. And Leafpool.
“I’m sorry mother. I think, I think I understand what you were doing for me all those many moons” he caressed those words to himself. Jayfeather dipped his nose into the moonpool, wishing to journey to StarClan to see those precious cats once more.
In his dreams he journeyed through the meadows and lush pastures of the sky, watching the ever present forest below. “Jayfeather, GET BACK NOW!” a voice bolted from the milky luminescence of StarClan cats, a voice of many, but singular and unified at once.”
“What’s the problem?!” he dared respond.
Without adding much quarrel he turned around and noticed a darker form looming over his body at the moonpool. The cat’s claws were drawn and streaked carefully towards his sleeping body like a serpent across the forest’s belly. Horrified, he rushed back to regain his consciousness. He awoke to black, but wrestled himself away from the pool’s edge, ears perked and claws ready. He was no good fighting like this, remembering to his last time he fought in the annals of the moonpool cave.
“Who’s there? Wait is that … no! You’ve returned?!”
There was no answer. Jayfeather did not panic and instead focused on the echoes in the cave, but something was off, there was no trace of breathing or even the slightest paw steps. He could feel the cold emotion rippling in burning waves however, familiar but very distant now. His heart ached at the thought, but he had to do something now.
“I know who you are. Why have you come back now?!”
Still there was only silence.
With a jolt, Jayfeather felt a stabbing sensation at his side, a crimson tide welling through his open vein. He recoiled to himself and felt another blow to his head. He flailed his paws into the air, but contacted with nothing.
“COWARD! How do you hope to solve anything this way. You’ll never bring peace to yourself this way. Leafpool would have died for you, but not for the reasons you wanted her to.”
And a paw flung Jayfeather back to the moonpool, holding his head deep in the cold waters. His lungs were beginning to burn as he wished to draw for a breath. In his turmoil, a vision of Rock appeared beside Jayfeather, his claws drawn, holding the stick ready to scratch his mark. His solemn face told the tale too well. It’s my time now, isn’t it Rock. The cat only gazed up and back at Jayfeather, giving a half nod in acknowledgment.
Ironic I should go this way when I’ve survived this many times before.
Jayfeather stopped pleading with his lungs.
It looks like I’ll be staying with you for a bit longer this time Leafpool.
The dark cat slipped Jayfeather aside and tossed his limp body into the moonpool, sinking into its dark abyss.

You are special; you know you're special, because after all, you're part of a big prophecy to thwart the Dark Forest cats. Your power allows you to read into people's minds. Every night you can slip into someone's mind and find out what they're up to. This will allow you to see who they're allied with and maybe a little bit of what they're thinking.
You share a special alliance with two other cats from the prophecy. Any hunts against them won't count.
You are allied with the Clans You win if the Clans win.
