A silver orb hung in the sky, sending brilliant shafts of moonlight over the forest. Deep in the twisted shadows, something evil was lurking. Amber eyes glowed with malicious intent, and sharp ivory claws dug into the ground as the cat prowled through the night. A dark tabby with broad shoulders and a torn ear stood silently in the darkness, waiting for his prey to move.

The cat walked slowly, searching the forest for a sign of life. When he saw the dark tabby, he skidded to a halt and immediately unsheathed his claws, ready to defend himself. Eyes flashing and teeth glinting in the harsh, pale light, he hissed to the dark tabby, "What are you doing here, Tigerstar? You're not welcome in this part of the forest." Though he tried to appear fierce, his tail-tip was twitching with fear and his eyes were fixed on the dark shape in the shadows.

"I came here to take your life. You were the one to ruin all my plans. I had the whole of ThunderClan in my paws - I was about to have everything I ever wanted, and you ruined it. I will destroy you like the coward that you are and take back what is rightfully mine." The tabby turned and slowly padded back into the shadows, peering once over his shoulder.

"But I can't kill you. Not today. I need you alive, Firestar. I need you to bring a message of despair."

No one was killed.

It is now Day 2. This phase will end @ 7 PM EST on August 2nd.

What dark paths indeed, at least no cat was killed. The Dawn Patrol will see to it no foul cats walk this territory.

Hmm, with these narrations I can never tell if they're retelling actions or just for show. I've seen them mixed up (and I've done it myself) so we can't really know if Tigerstar found Firestar and missed the kill or if this was an ability protecting Firestar... or just a nice little read :3

It's nice that no one was killed... be it lazy mafia or a really good doctor.

Sounds like an ability protecting Firestar, to me. If that's the case, then good guess by the doctor. I don't want to see my leader killed night 1

Because. Firestar doesn't take foxdung from any clan. And I don't get to post it that often.

First of all, I agree with Rayne that the killing of Swiftpaw in Day 1 was horribly fitting, and I do mean horribly.

I suppose we start voting now? I can't decide whether to kill Ryuu or the people that followed him.

Did you perhaps make a slip-up when you said what I bolded (that isn't the vote)?

@Thunder Lord Z; Mafia do generally try to lie low, and they usually bandwagon too, but it could always be time zones or something that's stopping him talking, right?

Dark Victini's not usually online whenever I am. It might be a mafia tactic, or a timezone thing. Or both if we're really unlucky. Who was the other one that voted with Victini, starting the bandwagon? As usual, I'm an open option, if need be. So that we don't make *coughmorecough* mistakes. And the flavor text made me shiver, to tell the truth. Very Bane-ish.

Ah, I see she's reading the thread now, so it doesn't seem to be a time zone issue.

well i must say in my defense (of not posting), this is my first Mafia game, and i am probs not paying as much attention as i would if i was more experienced. i also had some cozens (did i spell that right?) that i don't see that often over yesterday so yeah.

Ah, fair enough. And sorry about the he/she thing, I usually check people's sidebars, but I didn't know the last time you'd posted.

's ok it just really annoying to have that happen. i've had it happen on a couple other sites.
