Based on the hit tv show created by Mark Burnett and broadcasted on CBS/Global.
A group of 20 - 30 strangers are stranded on an island somewhere around South America, Asia or Africa. The strangers are split into two tribes with even numbers. The two tribes must compete in Reward and Immunity Challenges. Halfway through the game, the tribes merge into one tribe and everyone must compete for themselves.
Reward Challenge - Tribes compete to win items to make camp life easier and more comfortable (Matches for fire, blankets to sleep with, chairs to sit on) towards the end of the game, these rewards mostly consist of a relaxing dinner in one of the island's most beautiful spots with a single winner being allowed to take 1 - 4 people with them on the reward.
Immunity Challenge - Tribes compete for power in this game. Whichever tribe has the golden power of Immunity will not have to go to Tribal Council and vote off one of their own. Immunity Challenges are usually more grueling and physically challenging than Reward Challenges. After the merge, Tribes will no longer compete for immunity and survivors must compete for individual immunity. The single survivor who wins Immunity cannot be voted out but the rest are fair game. The winner of individual immunity has an option to give their immunity necklace to another survivor but doing so would make the former immunity winner vulnerable to being voted off.
Immunity Idols - Little idols spread throughout the tribe campsites. For some reward challenges, tribes will receive a special clue as to where the immunity idols are hidden. Players must follow the clues and be as sneaky as possible to hide the idols from their tribe. If a player finds an immunity idol, they can use it to negate all votes cast against them for one tribal council. They can also give the immunity idol to someone else to use. Usually 2 - 3 immunity idols hidden. If a player is voted off, in possesion of an unused their immunity idol, the idol will be hidden on the island again for others to find.
Tribal Council - The tribe that loses the immunity challenge will have to go to Tribal Council to vote off one of their own. The event of a tie will result in a firemaking challenge in which the loser of said challenge will leave. It usually requires 4 votes to vote off a person. Immunity idols can be used to negate votes. People who have immunity cannot be voted for.
Redemption Island - When two people have been voted off in Tribal Council they will be sent to Redemption Island to duel for the right to stay. The winner of the duel will stay at Redemption Island to wait for their next challenger. The loser will go home - this time for good and cannot be brought back again.
