Thread: Self-Role Mafia (Advanced)

Welcome to the game, young fools. I have used my power to bring you here for one reason and one reason only; to watch as you confuse, confound, and kill each other- and sometimes yourself. At first, you may see this as unethical and insane- but soon you will ealize that this interests you, and you want to prove yourself to be superior to these other fools. That, fools, is the reason you were chosen.

The rules are simple. Firstly, death will come down upon those that cheat, don't play, or simply ruin the game on purpose. Secondly, the dead stay dead unless their role says otherwise. Thirdly, I may be a floating voice in your head, but I can't read your mind. All secretive conversations should include me in them.

Next, time is slightly warped here. Each hour seems twice as long; from dawn until dusk takes 24 standard hours. I will show what has happened during each 'phase' at dawn and dusk. Each 'phase' during the daylight, you will be allowed to vote off one of the other players. Whoever has the most votes come dusk shall fall.

You are all under aliases here; however, if you should change them, let me know. Your alias helps conceal the role you have given me. The role, however, must be balanced; nothing too strong. You will have three chances at a role creation before I force a role onto you and lock you in with it.

In normal rules format:

1. I will modkill for:
Posting any official PM's from me (including your role)
Poor sportsmanship
Cheating
Inactivity

This means behave, be courteous, be active, and don't ruin the game for the players. We're here to have fun.

2. No posting in this thread regularly once you're dead. I’d prefer you didn’t post at all actually, outside of an optional death quote, but if you really cannot stay dead… at least talk like a zombie so I can laugh.

3. I'd like a copy of most game related pm's (if not all). Especially for the mafia's pm's. Also, any Quicktopics or similar threads should be sent to me as well.

4. The game consists of many phases. Each phase (a day or night) consists of 24 hours. At 4 pm EST a phase will end, and I will update. Make sure you've sent me your night actions by then.

5. Every day you can vote someone off (lynching). To vote, say vote: [person]. To change your vote, you will say
unvote: [person]
vote: [person2]

If two people get an equal amount of votes, no one will get lynched.

6. If you change your name, please say so in the thread. Otherwise things can get very confusing for everyone (especially me).

7. You get three chances at making a role. If it's too overpowered, I'll tell you to change it. I'll also tell you if you can make it a lot stronger, for the sake of balance.

8. If I get two roles from people that are the same (or exessively similar) the first one to send it to me gets it, as long as it obeys rule 7.

Coolking, you send me the roles after everyone's joined. I'll make a post here telling everyone they can send me roles (I'll have sent the PMs to the Mafia right before that).

So unless you get a PM from me saying you're mafia, then you're innocent.
