We got a decent amount of discussion out of Day 1, and the only cost was an independent winning. I'd say that's a pretty fair trade-off. Better that than potentially hitting town.

"Would you look at that crowd!" A young man exclaimed. Jubilife City was bustling with people who were waiting to participate in the New Year's Countdown event. The broadcasting station had set a special stage and invited celebrities for a mini-concert.

"I told you a million times we should've stayed home." His friend groaned. "There's way too many people here, and we're too far from the stage."

"Don't you feel the excitement here?" The first guy grinned. "It's not the same when you see it on TV."

"Personally, I prefer the TV... but I guess you're right when it comes to actually being at the scene." The friend shrugged.


Something scampered through the crowd without difficulty. Nobody paid attention to the dark creature with dangerously sharp claws.

The crowd shouted all together.

"We're retreating for now." A man said the moment he saw the Weavile finish off their target. A woman in a puffy silver skirt that resembled a UFO obeyed and slipped out of the building.

They got rid of a threat anyways. The friendless gym leader could wait for later.

She took one last look back at them - the gym leader weeping over his friend's body while the crowd took no notice that there had been a murder.

Pitiful.

When aura-kun claimed he wanted the town to win he was the first to tell him that as an indep he shouldn't care about the town, and was really in favour of lynching him after that. He also was against lynching anyone else, even though that would've provided us with much more info than we currently have.

I don't see why a townie would tell an independent he shouldn't be working with the town, as you know, any help would be appreciated.

In hindsight, that was an odd thing to do. But I felt like chiming in, and a jester wanting to stay alive to help out seemed a bit too altruistic to be true, so I confronted him with it.
