Everybody had an eye on everybody, but one particular person's odd behaviour struck as being the most suspicious.
The person would go crazy out of fear of being killed.
Little did they know that it would make them the target of the day. While panicking, they decided to say out loud their interesting and strong power.
"You can't touch me, fools. One of those who target me shall die instead!" said the person breathing heavily.
"Oh yeah!? Why should we believe you?" said those who targeted the person.
"Hmph. Do as you wish then. Your omnipotence shall be the death of one of you." said the person smiling.
"THAT'S IT! I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANY LONGER!" said Brycen out loud.
Having gotten his sword to kill the person with, he ran towards and tried to attack the person.
As he tried to stab them, his body started acting oddly and made him stop the attack.
"What's this!?" said Brycen, shocked.
"I told you, my powers will take one of your lives instead of." said the person sweating. "I can't control them!"
Brycen's right hand made him suddenly redirect his attack and make his sword point at his heart.
"DON'T TELL ME! NO! PLEASE!" screamed Brycen as he lived his last few seconds.
"You can't say that I didn't warn you." said the person with a mean look on their face.
His right hand quickly injected the sword in his heart, killing him. Brycen then proceeded to fall on the ground lifelessly.
The protectors were shocked at the sight they saw. They couldn't believe their eyes. The person truly was something special with their ability. Using their abilities has made them weak, preventing them from causing any harm. All they could do was talk.
Later on that hour, Brycen was buried in the Nacrene City Graveyard. Tears were shed for this great actor who has entertained Unova with his talents.
Giovanni couldn't help but laugh at the protectors' behaviour.
"Hahahahah! Look at those fools suffer, crying over spilt milk. How pathetic." said Giovanni sipping his coffee.
"To progress!" said the other Team Rocket members celebrating.
"Yes my fellow members. TO PROGRESS!"

An explosion suddenly happened on the other side of Nacrene City.
Everybody panicked. Could it be that Team Rocket has decided to bombard the city to get the GS Ball quicker? If they did that, they would have risked destroying the GS Ball.
The protectors ran to where the explosion happened and saw pieces of human body parts scattered around the place. The sight of it grossed them so much, that it was hard to look at the scene.
After a few seconds of searching, Ash found the head.
"False alarm. It's just Paul you guys." said Ash to the protectors.
"Thank heavens! I thought that it was somebody important. Bleh. I wanted him to leave my Battle Club the second I laid eyes on him. May he rest in pieces..." said Don George, with a sadistic smile on his face.
"But now this spot is filled with blood. Somebody should clean it up." said Iris in disgust.
"Don't worry guys, I'll get a garbage truck to clean it tomorrow. You should all focus on finding out who's Team Rocket." assured Lenora.

So Leavanny is the lynch redirector after all. Soulmaster had a pretty good role...too bad. I wonder if the lynch redirect ability is only one-shot.
