Update in 1.5 hours
The Pokemon argued throughout the entire day.
"No, you are!"
"Hey wait a minute-" a Pokemon spoke up, "what about him? This forum is named after him, he has got to be the culprit!"
"What?" Bulbasaur said, "it's not me, I swear!" Bulbasaur coughed nervously.
"We don't believe you," another Pokemon sneered.
Bulbasaur started to run away, but tripped over his own vines, thus breaking his neck in an absolutely-not-clumsy fashion.
HumanDawn, A Vanilla Townie has been lynched.
It is now night 3.
Phase ends 2/23/13 at 10 PM EST
Anyways right now I see the following as mafia in this order
3.Yata (still trying to get a good read on her)
Hopefully mafia will kill each other tonight. And the two two's thing was on purpose.
Alright, let's map out all the possible scenarios for this Night Phase:
Both Scum kill Townies.
This is the worst-case scenario. If this happens, we auto-lose and the last Townie has to play out the final Day Phase as a kingmaker to determine which Mafia wins.
Both Scum try to kill the same Townie.
This is good for us. If this happens, there will be no kill and all of us will progress to the next Phase. There will be two Scum hiding among five players.
One Townie is killed, one Scum is killed.
This is good for us - it brings us to LYLO, ironically better than what could have happened if we'd had a successful Scum-lynch today, as we would then be guaranteed to head into MYLO.
If this happens, there will be three players left: two Townies and one Scum. Both Townies will have to agree in order to lynch the Scum and win.
(Which I think is completely achievable)
Both Scum kill each other.
This is the best-case scenario. If this happens, we auto-win.
In case I die, even though if that happens you'll probably ignore them because of nightkill WIFOM. <.<;
Master Mew - I cheated and peeked at his role pm. Shhhh....
Midorikawa - She's been very pro-town and very helpful. If she's scum, she's playing very well and I tip my hat to her.
Yata - This has been a pretty quiet slot - albeit moreso before she subbed in. Having a hard time getting a read here.
Feralize - Again, a very quiet slot - difficult to say, but with each passing phase the likelihood that the Scum are in the lurkers seems to increase on my scumdar.
Soulmaster - He was more active early in the game, his posting has been dropping off since then. This is an established scum-tactic, as players who are active early in the game are subconsciously treated as Town by other players, allowing them to then slip under the radar in lategame with that gut-read still in play. While it's a legitimate tactic, I'm not sure it's one Soulmaster uses. Aforementioned evidence is, naturally, still in play as well.
Technically you’re not “breaking” the rules, but you’re skirting around them and pushing the boundaries of the No Outside Communication rule, and I don’t appreciate that, as I find it disrespectful towards Phoenicks and I as hosts.
I expect players to respect my rules in my games. I won’t accept this behavior in the future.
Our rule covers all private communications. Technically, one may PM another player to collect intelligence (their activity level, their emotional state, etc.) and it would not violate stated rules. It would instead violate the fair expectation that outside life stops in this game. Is it moral to ask seemingly-unrelated questions in PM for the sake of gaining an advantage?
Yes or no, it involves extending the game beyond this thread. The action is just as dubious whether or not it's addressed in the thread -- because it requires intruding upon another player. In the future, if any player suspects being contacted with in-game intent, and flags Paperhorse or myself about the query, it will be treated just as though it happened within the thread.
(This is an elaboration of our policy; nothing more.)
Where is everyone? I know Midorikawa and I aren't the only ones still playing.
Soulmaster became inactive once the heat went onto Human, and Yata and Feralize haven't even been active.
That's true - Soulmaster and Yata never took a stance on the Human lynch, either.
It was a long night. Each townie was afraid of what they would find in the morning, so most of them hid in their houses.
When dawn arrived, the townies' hearts filled with dread; they expected the worst.
However, they all lived to see another day.
No one was killed.
It is now Day 4. Phase ends 2/26/13 unless majority is reached.
Alright, no one was killed last night, which means: Both of the remaining Scum targeted the same player last night, and more importantly, both Goons now know of one innocent Townie.
Since we have the same set of players now as we did before the update, nothing has really changed for the Town - only the Scum's reads will significantly change, depending on which Townie they tried to kill last night.
This gives us a significant upper-hand: (1) We have the benefit of consistent reads, while the Mafiosi's reads must change to account for last night's failed kills, and (2) the "confirmed" townie (whoever the scum targeted last night) is, ironically, an unlikely nightkill target for the Mafia in the next Night Phase if we fail to lynch scum today (significantly increasing the likelihood that they will crosskill or target the same Townie again) because they will still be trying to eliminate the opposing team.
Voting for my top scumspect (what do you mean that's not a word?)
I'm curious as to who they targeted but I guess we won't find that out unless they come out in the open. Anyways: VOTE: Soulmaster like MM I'm voting for my top scumspect
I don't know - if there's someone that the mafia would target, I would think Soulmaster, because a couple people(including me), have been suspecting him for a while. And I mean, not only town, but also mafia are scumhunting, so I would think that they'd go for whomever seems the most scummy to them(ex. GM and Zima). However, I don't know what goes on in the minds of the remaining members of both mafia factions, so its just an assumption.
