"Choosing someone random" and bandwagonning them is also a great way for the mafia to get a mislynch in, since they can just shrug it off afterward and say that it was random, hence not their fault at all. Yes Day 1 lynches are helpful, but do we need to lynch the first person who has the bad luck to have two votes or more against them? That's terrible reasoning, and the lack of discussion will only be hurtful to the town later on.

As to the defensive thing, personally, I'm defensive whenever I'm accused no matter if I'm town or mafia. The thing about those games is that you have to act like a townie when you're mafia, so the "you're too defensive" argument doesn't work. It hasn't in the past and it won't now.

If I was bandwagonned on day 1 for no reason, I probably would be unusually defensive, too, since you have a bunch of people who for some reason won't take off their vote off you on the basis that a lynch has to occur, no matter if the town loses an important power role in the process. Again, this advantages the mafia, not the town.

Byron, I've stated time and time again that not lynching will give the mafia an advantage. Your bandwagon was the first one I saw. You have yet to give me any reason to unvote you.

So in this post you 1) admit to voting for someone to get lynched for the sole reason that it's the biggest bandwagon around ("they all voted for him too, they're most suspicious than I am!") and 2) demand Byron to give you a reason to unvote him while we're on day 1 and that he has absolutely nothing to defend himself besides claiming in thread, which is not exactly the smartest move.

To be honest, getting defensive over being bandwagoned for absolutely no reason other than that all the cool kids are doing it is perfectly reasonable. Byron isn't acting scummy here by defending himself against a day one bandwagon. Yeah, he's totally scum for not wanting to be killed off day 1.

I'm for day one lynches. I am not for day one bandwagons, because it is so easy for the mafia to vote in the bandwagon and point to it later, saying "I'm not the only one who did it."

Why is it that we always have to bandwagon? Can we just have a close call for a change? I quit keeping tally on my mafia around day 3 because there was no point keeping track of the fact that everyone voted for the same person.

Well, if that's true, and I doubt it because it would be a terrible move on your part, then you'll be dead night 1 anyway. You think the mafia is going to let someone who claimed cop live? Nope.

This happened to Russia. before... She claimed cop in thread, and it turned out she actually WAS the cop. Which is why I'm not sure about this.

I can understand why Gym Leader Byron was getting defensive, because I've gotten pretty defensive on day 1 bandwagons against me. Still, maybe America* thought differently about that? Maybe she sees the mafia as getting defensive, because it could just be her way of thinking. I don't think America* or Gym Leader Byron is mafia, but my vote stays on Gym Leader Byron just in case, because I don't wanna be the one to get out.

To me, claiming every-other-night cop is pretty suspicious. I'm guessing if America* is mafia, there will be another mafioso who will claim to check on even nights. However, since I just pointed that out, the possibility just diminished.

My vote stands.

Hmm..... I don't know what to think about America* at this point, so my vote will stand still. For now.
